Good morning scurvy dogs! Yesterday you got to see a peek at my roomful of treasure and today ye’ve stolen my treasure map! Well, let’s just see how far that gets you!
Seriously, I used so many polishes for today’s look. In no particular order: OPI Did You ‘Ear About Van Gogh, OPI A-taupe The Space Needle, OPI Suzi Says Da!, OPI Got the Blues For Red, OPI Nein Nein Okay Fine, OPI Here Today Aragon Tomorrow, Verity Lite Brown, and Wet N Wild Black Creme. *phew*
I tried to recreate burnt edges to my map, not quite sure how that turned out. LOL. And oh dear, it seems that where “x” marks the treasure seems to be burnt out, so you only have a general idea where me treasure lays!
Don’t forget to check out everyone else’s treasure maps for today’s prompt:
I’d love to know what you think of my treasure map! I’m kind of reminded of the map in “The Goonies”. So, I’ll leave you with a gratuitous gif of The Truffle Shuffle (link edited 😦 )
Heeelllllooooo you wonderful internet people out there! 🙂 I hope you’re having a great morning so far. It’s a bit dreary and cold here today (and the weatherman is saying parts of Montana could see snow later this week!). Are you starting to feel the fall weather yet? I do love fall, it’s probably my favorite season of the year.
So today I have two Verity nail polishes to show you, courtesy of The Beauty Clutch. If you haven’t heard me rave about Verity yet, let me tell you, I think they are a great polish brand! They have beautiful finishes, they self-level incredibly well, and the shine is out of this world! Oh, and did I mention the price? $3-4 for all of those benefits!
First up is Verity Metallic Green is a jewel-tone green that seems to glow from within. Great formula, it does show some lines so just have a light hand. This is 3 coats. It did dry a bit dull so I added a coat of Barielle top coat.
Then we have Verity Blue Stars, a light blue shimmery polish with little tiny silver flecks. This is 2 coats:
I’m going to be having more Verity polishes coming up in the next weeks, including some really great polishes for fall (*ahem Halloween orange*) and winter (a deep vampy purple, ooooh!). Don’t forget that you can order these through The Beauty Clutch; be sure to like them on Facebook for upcoming deals and collection news. I’d love to know if you’ve ever tried this brand, and let me know your favorite time of the year!
Good afternoon! Are you having a great one so far? I found this picture today and it totally made me laugh (click the pic for source):
Today’s prompt for the OMD2 Nail Art Challenge is “bridal.” I wanted to go with something soft and neutral, but sort of sweet.
I’ve started with a base of Verity Cappuccino (press sample), 3 coats. This is a sheer neutral polish that is incredibly shiny. To create swirls, flowers, and hearts, I’ve used: Revlon Bare Bones (light cream), Verity Soft Purple (which is pink; press sample), Verity Hot Baby Blue, and Verity Asian Jade (press sample).
I’d love to know what you think about this freehanded design, so don’t forget to comment! And check out the rest of today’s manicures at the link-up! I’ll see you tomorrow for the “national pride” prompt,
Follow Me Here as Well:
Good afternoon! It’s double nail art days here at Be Happy and Buy Polish! LOL. For today’s prompt of “favorite polish”, I’ve used a few of my favorite polishes: Jessica Sharktooth (reviewed here), Verity Asian Jade (press sample, reviewed here), and Sinful Colors Smokin’ Hot (reviewed here).
Gradients are fast becoming my favorite way to do nail art! I hope you like what I’ve done, check out everyone else’s art for today by clicking here. What is your favorite polish lately? I’d love to know! Until tomorrow,
Good morning everyone! It’s going to be a great week, I hope. At least this week will end on a holiday for those of us in the U.S.A. Don’t you just love when that happens? 🙂
Today I have 5 fairly easy manicures for July 4th. I hope this gives you some inspiration! Click through after the graphic for all 5 manicures and a short explanation of how I created them! Don’t forget to pin them if you like them!
Good morning, wonderful readers! I hope your day is lovely. I woke up to a dreary morning this morning, which is a bummer because we are going to a Strawberry Festival this morning. I guess we’d better bundle up! (I’ll have some fun strawberry nail art for you tomorrow!)
Today I have 3 glitter toppers from Verity Nail Lacquer. I’ve paired these with the nail polishes from yesterday. All are shown with 1 coat of OPI top coat. I’ve used 1 coat plus a bit of dabbing with each glitter topper. I’ll talk about formula after the swatches. Click through for all the pretties!
Good morning my lovelies! Who else has been looking forward to Friday?! Now I know that some people are freaking about the whole “Friday the 13th + Full Moon” business, but not this gal.
Today I have three more Verity Nail Lacquers to show you: Asian Jade, Soft Purple, and Flamenco Blue. I’ve used OPI base & top coats with all three polishes. First up is Asian Jade, a soft jade crelly polish. This is 2 coats:
Next is Soft Purple, a soft pink crelly polish. I’m not sure why it is called purple, it’s pink with a tinge of purple (perhaps). This is 3 coats:
Last is Flamenco Blue, a sheer blue polish. This is 3 coats:
All three had the kind of formula I’ve come to expect from Verity, going on smoothly and leveling nicely. You can buy all three at The Beauty Clutch, for very reasonable prices! Let me know what you think about them, tomorrow I’ll have three glitter toppers over these polishes. Have a great day,
