Good afternoon! I hope you are ready for the weekend, baby, because it’s almost here. 😀 My family is meeting another family for dinner tonight, and I’m really excited. Actual adult conversations will take place! For tonight, I’ve created a simple look with the e.l.f. Jasmine “A Whole New World” Beauty Book that is available now in drugstores (I bought mine at Walgreens).
I’m beginning to have quite a few of these palettes that e.l.f. is putting out. I have the Good & Evil palette, Snow White, and Ariel palettes as well. (Let me know if you’d like to see those as well, even though they aren’t available still in stores.)
This one comes with 7 eyeshadows, an applicator, eyeliner pencil, a blush, a contour, a brush, and a lip gloss.
I gotta tell you, I don’t care for the applicator, eyeliner, brush, or lip gloss. I don’t have good luck with e.l.f.’s eyeliners and I hate lip glosses (almost across the board). It should go without saying not to use rinky-dink applicators or brushes that come in these palettes.
From top to bottom: Abu, Rajah, Lago, Jasmine
From top to bottom: Genie, Aladdin, Jafar. I must say that my camera muted the tones of these three – they are much brighter in person.
Top is Royal Palace, bottom is Forbidden Treasure. Royal Palace has little gold specks in it that I quite like.
For my look, I went with Abu on the brow bone, Rajah on the lid, and Lago in the crease.
I used Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner in Stag, and Urban Decay Perversion mascara.
My overall look – I decided to use the lip gloss to show you what it is like. It just barely tints my lips. Though I didn’t care for the lip gloss or the eyeliner, all in all, this is really a palette I enjoy. If you missed my post earlier today with the e.l.f. Jasmine nail polishes, be sure to check it out. I’d like to know what you think of today’s look!
Tomorrow morning, I’m taking my kids to listen to a live performance of Peter & the Wolf – definitely excited for that. Any fun plans for yourself this weekend?
