Morning everyone! Lately I’ve noticed that reviewing makeup notwithstanding, I’ve fallen into a rut with my makeup looks – I tend to play it safe with neutrals & browns or neutrals & purples. I mean, yeah, play to your strengths but I need to stretch myself a bit.
That’s how this makeup look with Glamour Doll Eyes Dreamboat and Cozy Sweater with Jesse’s Girl Sounds of the City eyeshadow palette came about. I’ve also used an untried lippie from Jordana, Cinnamon Toast from the Sweet Cream Matte line. Continue reading
Hi everyone! So on Sunday I showed you product photos & swatches of the new Wet N Wild Queen of My Heart collection. Today I have a makeup look to show you using the eyeshadow palette Hieroglyphic Heart, the MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Lilac to Reality, and two shades from the Perfect Pout Lip Palette From Heart to Finish. Hopefully this’ll give you an idea if you want to pick up any of these products when you see them on this pale redhead’s face. 😉
Afternoon everyone! I hope you are having a good Sunday. I thought I’d share with you my makeup of the day with Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadows and LipSense Apple Cider. I am having a great Sunday because I went to try on pants that I haven’t worn since before the baby was a twinkle in my eye. Last time I wore them, they fit very snugly (like, cut off my breath when I sat down); this time I needed a belt to cinch them so they’d stay up. Yay for non-scale victories! 😀
Okay, enough yadda yadda yadda. Let’s take a closer look at my makeup for the day! Continue reading
Hi everyone! I told you I wasn’t going to shy away from doing my makeup & showing it on the blog and I’m holding true to my word. This is my makeup of the day with Tarte Rainforest After Dark eyeshadow palette and NYX Cosmetics Intense Butter Gloss in Berry Strudel. Funnily enough, the last time I showed a makeup look with the Tarte palette, it was almost the same kind of look and I had my hair pulled back! LOL. Continue reading
Hi everyone! Kind of a late in the day post, I know. But I wanted to share with you my nails that I wore today for Henry’s baptism and my makeup. Life update at the end of this post!
I wanted something delicate since my outfit was kind of loud. LOL. I started with 3 coats of Sinful Colors Just Deserts from the Stoned Crystal Shimmer collection. It is slightly more pink in real life. (I’m really hoping to get swatches done of this collection this week, btw.) Then I added an iridescent glitter stud to the nails with Just Deserts on them. Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. 🙂 I thought I’d show you a makeup look I did a few weeks back with Delete, Bitter, and Flame from the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette.
Bitter is a burnt orange matte shadow.
Flame is a sparkly orange-pink shadow.
Delete is a dark taupe brown matte eyeshadow.
Here are arm swatches of all three shades: Bitter, Flame, Delete.
I used Bitter on the lid, Delete in the crease and outer vee, and Flame on the inner corner.
For my lippie, I used ColourPop in Mess Around.
I liked this neutral take on my makeup look – I think it looks very flattering with my red hair! What do you think?
Hi everyone! I thought I’d show you my makeup look from Easter Sunday. I hope you don’t mind that I’m branching out more into makeup & beauty looks. It’s something I’ve always enjoyed doing and now that I think my skills are improving, I like to show what I’ve been creating. As a pale redhead, I’ve always been scared to try out looks that are more colorful, but I’m trying to be bold!
I started off with a sticky base with NYX Cosmetics eyeshadow stick in Milk. Then I used Urban Decay Fast-Ball on the inner lid and 1985 on the outer lid.
In the crease and outer corner, I used Urban Decay Underhand. One of the last steps was to use UD Discreet on the brow bone and an unnamed white from BH Cosmetics in the inner corner.
I used L’Oreal Infallible eyeliner for my tight line/waterline, and Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Thick/Thin eyeliner as my regular liner. Mascara used was UD Perversion.
I’d love to know what you think of my bolder look! 🙂
