1 coat of base polish
L.A. Colors Metal Nail Polish in Sublime, 2 coats plus top coat
L.A. Colors 102 Vertigo, 2 coats
Tonic Polish Novitiate
1 coat of quick-dry top coat
I’ve been trying to drink more water lately (I mean, who isn’t) and some days it is so easy to do, like I’m parched all day for water. Then other days, I’m all about the coffee. Okay, to be honest, I’m always all about the coffee. Anyway, I’ll do really well on drinking a good amount of water for a week and then it’s like I forget to drink any!
I got this idea for a gradient stripe from this instagram post (I can’t find the original artist though!). I thought, what a fun way to do a gradient! I was pleasantly surprised by how well the L.A. Colors Metal Nail Polish performed, tbh. I thought it would be fussy to work with and it wasn’t.

Moonflower Polish Pool Party and Lemonade
Tonic Polish Mirabilis and Here Comes the Sun
It’s the simple pleasures in life, right? Like seeing a beautiful rainbow after a storm. Now that we don’t live in the city proper, having an afternoon thunderstorm blow through is such a sight to behold. One of the best things about living in Montana is the big beautiful sky that allows you to see for miles and miles; seeing a thunderstorm from so far away and then coming through and then seeing a rainbow afterwards…sigh. It’s just so comforting to me.
1 coat of base polish
L.A. Colors 109 Blankie, a soft blue-grey creme polish.
Tonic Polish Helpless, 3 coats, a multichrome magnetic polish with indigo iridescent flakies. I see blue, green, teal. It was more see-through at 2 coats than I liked, hence the third coat.
Moonflower Polish I Just Can’t Wait (Polish Pickup Pack May 2018), a hot coral stamping polish.
P.O.P Polish SandSlick, 3 coats, a pastel multichrome. Primary colors: nude, blush, tan, pink gold; secondary colors: green, blue; tertiary colors: cobalt, lavender. Check, check, and check! Good, buildable formula.
1 coat of quick dry top coat
Do you know what I would do if money wasn’t an issue in my life? Besides setting up a non-profit for dental work for those who fall through the cracks, I’d never wash my makeup brushes again. I’d just give away my brushes when they got dirty and buy new ones. Wasteful, yes. But my goodness do I hate to wash my brushes!

Tonic Polish Bliss, 1 coat (should have done two though)
Tonic Polish Here Comes the Sun
Have you ever had a moment of just pure, uncomplicated, contemplative joy? I was thinking about this when I wore this polish, because of the name. Times that I just have those kind of moments are when I’m running and the sun breaks over the mountains; or driving on a road trip and smelling sweet grass on the interstate; or having a song come on the radio that takes you back to a moment in time and you can’t help but sing along.
Blackheart Beauty Navy Vampire Matte, 1 coat [previously swatched]
Tonic Polish Mirabilis, 2 coats. This is a magnetic multichrome topper; I’ve used the Tonic Polish ring magnet in this manicure.
1 coat of top coat
I’m going to keep this fairly short because I’m super tired. Mirabilis is a seriously amazing polish and if you don’t have it, you’d better buy it. There are all sorts of beautiful colors in this polish.
1 coat of base coat
Blackheart Beauty Matte Nude, 1 coat. I would call this a light peachy-pink matte polish. Formula was pretty atrocious.
Tonic Polish Lips, 1 thick coat. This is a magnetic multichrome polish that shift from pink to gold to green to mustard yellow. When a magnet is applied, a bright blue shift comes alive.
1 coat Dreamland Lacquer Ooh Shiny
How could I not pair a nail polish called Nude with a nail polish called Lips? 😀
1 coat of base
Polish ‘M Cold Hands, Warm Heart, 3 thin coats. This applied really nicely and evenly. I would describe this as a pale sky blue base with glitters of white, pink, blue.
Tonic Polish Hush
Dreamland Lacquer Ooh Shiny QDTC, 1 coat
I can’t believe I waited this long to wear this Polish ‘M. It is so interesting! I think it would be too blue with the added blue shimmer and glitters, but it just brightens it up. Also it did not dry too gritty either.
I’ve used Hush before but I really like how it ended up looking here in this veil nail art.
