Morning all! I hope you are having a good Friday. 🙂 Today I have a polish that you’ve seen on the blog before, underneath Formula X Alchemy III. Let’s take a look at Brain Power by itself!
Brain Power is a camel brown creme polish. Though the formula is thin, it self-levels nicely; it does dry satin. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
It’s nice to have such a neutral polish in my polish arsenal but I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for this!
I’m back with some Formula X nail polishes to show you today: Torque and Racy. These are both chrome-y polishes, one I top-coated and one I did not, just to see how the top coat would change how the chrome looked.
Torque is a brown-green polish. Formula is okay, it dries fast and matte. It also shows all my ridges and flaws. This is 2 coats plus top coat.
Racy is a pretty silvery purple polish. Formula is similar to Torque. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
Racy is really pretty, it has to be my favorite. I just love the color. And to be honest, it reminds me of 80s lacy lingerie! 😛 No wonder they named it Racy.
Hi everyone! I have 3 Formula X polishes to show you today: Sublime, Funky, And Infamous. These are all duo or multi chrome polishes. Do they compare to indie multi chromes? Read on to find out.
Sublime is a sage green to glowy green to pink multichrome. Formula on this was super thin and sheer. Continue reading
Hi everyone and happy Friday! I’m back today with another comparison post. I was lucky enough that a fellow polish-aholic found Formula X Alchemy III for me, since my Sephora inside JcPenney’s didn’t have it. So let’s take a look at Formula X Alchemy III, and comparisons to Alchemy II [previously swatched], and the original Alchemy [previously swatched].
I first wanted to see how Alchemy III looked on its own. It is a very pale pink champagne base with gold and pink flakes. This is 3 coats plus top coat. Continue reading
Good morning, my wonderful readers! Today I have a manicure that I was really happy with – I almost thought it looked like stamping, even though I achieved it using nail vinyl stencils. I’ve used Formula X Orbit and Vroom, and Baroness X Vulcan (fb group custom).
Orbit is a deep blue tinged green creme polish (it’s a bit more green than my photo shows). Formula on this, unfortunately, was no bueno. It was super thin and floody. 😦 This is 2 coats and no top coat. Continue reading
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you’ve been having a good weekend. After a week of super nice weather, today it has decided to turn fall and cool. Which is okay, I guess. All the better to bring out my vampy makeup and nail polishes, right?? Yes, of course. haha! 😛 I was gifted these Kat Von D Studded X mini lip + nail duos from a friend and I just had to get them out and play with them right away. Onto the pics!
Morning all! I’ve been trying really hard to get some photos edited and posts typed up, but obviously you can see how well that went. But I made it for today! I’m back with my Pick Three Polishes series where I randomly pick three untried polishes out of my stash, swatch them and then attempt to make nail art with them. For today’s post I’ve used Daisy Island Oasis (a gift from Michelle at Manic Talons!), Formula X Voodoo, and ILNP Home Sweet Home.
Daisy (brand name) Island Oasis is a beautiful bright teal green. It isn’t as bright as my photos show, but I took about 50 pictures and gave up trying to get color accuracy, tbh. LOL. 😀 This is 2 coats plus top coat but it’s almost a OCW.
Formula X Voodoo is a metallic pink holographic polish. The holographic effect is more noticeable in real life, even inside. Continue reading
