Drag marble nail art with Turtle Tootsie Polishes, Alchemy Lacquers, Polish ‘M, KBShimmer

Purchased by Me buttonPolishes used:
Turtle Tootsie Polishes February
Alchemy Lacquers Sweet Violet
Polish ‘M Shamrock [previously seen in my St. Patrick’s Day manicure]
KBShimmer Bling Out Loud
Formula X Mind Over Matter matte top coat

Afternoon everyone! Quick little post while the little ones sleep. 😀 I created this mani last night – I was trying to do something interesting with these four and Sinful Colors Transforming Top Coat in Concrete Jungle but couldn’t make something work. :/ Oh well! I rather thought this turned out like abstract flowers or something. If you’re interested in this technique, I did it similar to this tutorial from Yagala (pedicure warning!).

Tiger Stripe Nail Art manicure with Polish ‘M, Formula X, Sinful Colors

Purchased by Me buttonPolishes used:
Polish ‘M The Great Pumpkin, 2 coats. Good formula, if a little sheer; if I was going to wear it by itself, I would have done a third coat to cover my nail line completely.

Sinful Colors Coco Bae
Funky Fingers Dark Knight
Formula X Naughty Newton, 2 coats. This dries textured. Good formula, just a tad sheer.

Formula X Oh! Zone, 1 coat plus 2 coats of top coat over Naughty Newton.

Un-frog-gettable Cuticle Cover so I didn’t have to do so much clean up. This stuff works really nicely, is inexpensive, and comes in unscented.

This is my current mani and though the tiger stripe isn’t perfect (and my top coat smeared a bit), I really love how it came out. I haven’t done an animal print manicure in quite some time, and I got this idea after watching a video from kombucha_witch_ on instagram. (Go watch, I’ll wait.)

Tiger Stripe nail art manicure with Sinful Colors Coco Bae, Polish 'M The Great Pumpkin, Formula X Naughty Newton, Oh! Zone | Be Happy And Buy Polish

I first used Coco Bae, and just kept going over it on the stamp head until it started drying out and pulling up. Then I applied it to the nail.  Then I did the same with the black polish, I just used more of it. Of course, my other hand came out much nicer. Continue reading

Failed Mismatched Print nail art with Formula X, Fancy Gloss, Different Dimension

Purchased by Me buttonPolishes used:
Formula X Metamorphic (the charcoal), 3 coats
Formula X Turbo (the yellow)
Different Dimension Slay Your Own Dragons (minty green glitter on ring finger), 3 coats plus matte top coat
Fancy Gloss Lu-Mint-Escence, 2 coats
And don’t ask me what the white is because I can’t remember. 😛

Ugh. I hated this manicure as soon as I finished. I kept adding stuff in hopes that it would turn around (it’s happened before) but it just kept getting worse. So I’m calling this one a huge fail. Learn from my mistakes.

Chevron nail art with Blush Lacquers and Formula X

Purchased by Me buttonPolishes used:
Blush Lacquers Bane of My Existence [November Polish Pickup], 3 thin coats plus top coat. Applied smooth, and has a good formula. It has a beautiful blue tinge to it that I adore.
–Formula X Tide, 2 coats and no top coat. I’m so disappointed that this thickened up since I bought it. It’s almost unusable. 😦 But it’s so pretty.

This is my current mani – I did it yesterday to try to help my anxiety. 😦 I’ve been fighting anxiety and panic attacks since yesterday afternoon. Some days just suck. It is soothing to touch the textured polish though – isn’t that strange?

Formula X Theoretical | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Formula X Theoretical macro | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Theoretical is a purple with tinge of brown polish that has a silvery shimmer. Formula was good, it could be a One Coat Wonder for those people with shortie nails. This is 2 coats plus top coat.

Formula X Daredevil | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Daredevil is a teal polish with blue shimmer. Formula was a little uneven but it has a good thickness; it dries satin. This is 2 coats and no top coat.

Formula X Extreme | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Extreme is a yowza red polish with a tinge of orange at the edges. Formula was a little thin but otherwise no complaints; it dries satin. This 2 coats and no top coat.

I love, love, love Theoretical. It is one of those polishes you just have to see in person to see how pretty it really is. What do you think?

Formula X Brain Power swatch + review

Purchased by Me buttonMorning all! I hope you are having a good Friday. 🙂 Today I have a polish that you’ve seen on the blog before, underneath Formula X Alchemy III. Let’s take a look at Brain Power by itself!

Formula X Brain Power | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Brain Power is a camel brown creme polish. Though the formula is thin, it self-levels nicely; it does dry satin. This is 2 coats and no top coat.

It’s nice to have such a neutral polish in my polish arsenal but I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for this!
