Pure Ice Limited Edition Bubbling Brew, 1 coat as a base
Quixotic Polish Bug Day [September 2018 Polish Pickup Pack]
L.A. Colors Glows Wave Length
Hey everyone, I hope you’re having a good week so far! This past weekend felt incredibly long to me and I needed a few days to recuperate. Last night I got to pamper myself with a hair trim, eyebrow wax & dye, and then an actual sit-down dinner by myself. It felt wondrous.
Afternoon everyone! A quick post today (while some people are napping!) featuring nail polishes from Pure Ice Head to Meadow A Beautiful Bouquet line. This line features 25 new polishes, of which I have 8 to show you today. These are available at Walmart and Walmart.com.
Afternoon all – it’s been go go go today, no rest for the weary, unfortunately. I do have a pretty Pure Ice Nail Polish that I picked up at Big Lots awhile back – Purple Reign.
Purple Reign is a warm royal purple creme nail polish with golden green shimmer.
This is 2 coats plus top coat. Formula was pretty good! I just wish the beautiful shimmer was more prominent in real life. In the bottle it is just gorgeous! It just kind of disappears on the nail.
I wish I could find more good Pure Ice polishes, but usually by the time I get to Walmart, the displays are picked over. What’s been your experience finding good Pure Ice polishes?
Good afternoon, wonderful people! For today’s #JanuaryBeauty prompt of ‘budget fave’, I actually have two products for you.
First up is a new-to-me budget fave: Pure Ice’s Girl on the Run. I had heard about this in nail blogging circles and finally picked it up. Oh my gosh! This is an amazing top coat, and it’s only $1.97! I do get a bit of shrinkage, but it’s comparable to Seche Vite in my experience. I even have better dry time that almost all of my top coats.
Then I have a long-time budget fave: Rimmel London’s Scandal Eyes mascara. I first got this free for review from Influenster, so this is an old tube (why do I keep old tubes of mascara again??) but I re-purchase this on the regular.
What are your budget faves? I’d love to know if there is something awesome that I’m missing out on!

Hi everyone! I have some Pure Ice swatches for you today and some nail art. First here is Pure Ice Shore Bet, 2 coats with topcoat:
Next up is Pure Ice Home Run, 2 coats with top coat. This was extremely hard to get a color accurate photo.
I then used a makeup sponge and did a gradient with Pure Ice AfterHours:
Lastly I added disappearing dots:
I really liked this mani, but I was sorely disappointed in the stay in power – it literally peeled up off of my nails. So all this work for nuthin’! Hrumph! I do have Shore Bet and AfterHours on my blog sale if you’re interested in those. I will be adding more butterLONDON, Illamasqua, and indies to the blog sale later today. I hope you have a beautiful Sunday! This week will be “indie” week on the blog – I’ll have ellagee, A Girl Obsessed, and The Devil Wears Polish on the blog! Until tomorrow,
Good morning all! I hope you had a lovely weekend. The weather was lovely and cool here – I love fall. It kind of stinks though because here in Montana, we don’t really get a fall season. More like fall for 2 weeks before winter & snow hits. And of course, on Halloween we almost always have snow! 😛
Okay, enough of snow talk! Today is #7 of the 33 “Day” Challenge, and we needed to use our oldest untried polish for this. I’ve paired Pure Ice “Darkside” (also an untried) with Hard Candy Mr. Right. I started with 2 coats of Darkside. This is a red-toned purple polish with micro flakies of gold. It is absolutely gorgeous, and a steal at $1.97 at Wal-mart.
Inside, natural/sunlight, no flash:
I then used my best friend, striping tape, to create squares and then painted Mr. Right on top. Mr. Right is a purple-toned blue that is just glossy and beautiful. Why haven’t I ever used this before? (Oh yeah, because it kind of has stinky fumes!)
What do you think? Check out the rest of today’s manicures by clicking below.
That’s it for me today! Until tomorrow,
