Good morning my awesome readers! I hope your week is going well. 🙂 Today for re-swatch Wednesday, I have two polishes that I haven’t worn in awhile and I just had to pull them out: Précision Nail Lacquer Shine Wine N Dine and Twilight Zone. I first reviewed these back in May of 2014.
Shine Wine N Dine is a gorgeous berry/merlot scattered holographic nail polish. The formula on this is thin, and did go on streaky, unfortunately.
This is 3 thin coats plus top coat.
Twilight Zone is a warm grape scattered holographic nail polish. Application on this was much better than SWND. It did dry a bit gritty though!
This is 2 coats plus top coat.
I just wish the holographic bits weren’t so scattered – in the bottles it looks incredible but you lose some of that once it’s on the nail.
Though I haven’t featured Précision Nail Lacquer on the blog for awhile, I do like their polishes. They are reasonably priced, and have quite the selection. Both Shine Wine N Dine and Twilight Zone are still available on their website for only $5.95.
Let me know which of these polishes you’d like to get on your fingernails next!
Good morning all! I hope you had a great weekend. 🙂 Today I thought I’d show you my manicure that I created when I went on my family trip.
I started off with 2 coats of Précision Nail Lacquer in Surfin’ in Mali-blue on my pointer and ring fingers, Pahlish Lambrusco on my middle finger, and Color Club Twiggie on my pinky.
To create the dots, I used Twiggie and Lambrusco, and over Twiggie on my pinky I used Pahlish Confetti Cannon.
This was a hit with my family members, and to my surprise, I had picked the colors from my aunt & uncle’s wedding (we were there to celebrate their anniversary). What a fun and happy coincidence! 🙂
I hope you have a good Monday and I’ll talk to you tomorrow,
Good morning everyone! I have a comparison post for you today – something that’s been in the works for awhile. When I posted my swatches of OPI My Dogsled is a Hybrid, I had a few requests for comparisons to it. There wasn’t as many as OPI Damone Roberts 1968, but I did end up with 3.
I know that doesn’t seem like a lot but every green I was going to match up against MDIAH came up too dark or too light. It was hard to find a balance! I ended up with Verity Asian Jade, Sinful Colors Open Seas, and Precision Nail Lacquer McDreamy.
So let’s first look at the comparisons inside a lightbox:
Outside in the sunshine:
In my opinion, the closest one is Precision McDreamy, though it is still a bit more green toned than MDIAH is. Have you picked up My Dogsled is a Hybrid yet? Do you have a green that is a dupe in your stash? Let me hear it in the comments!
Good Sunday morning readers! Are you having a good weekend so far? We’ve just been a little lazy (with the exception of doing a bit of laundry). Today we might go to a local fiesta that’s being held in town! The prompt for today’s nail art challenge is “nautical” and that’s actually something I’ve not done before. Let’s take a look:
I’ve used Sally Hansen White On, Précision Nail Lacquer in Twinkle Toes (red) and The After After Party (blue). I also have an outdoor shot so you can see how sparkly it is:
What to do you think of this look? Twinkle Toes is such a great color – this is three thin coats and it’s opaque. Well, don’t forget to head to the link-up and see more great nautical looks! Later today I’ll have the Beauty Blog Coalition weekly roundup so until then,
Follow Me Here as Well:
Good morning lovelies! I hope you’re ready for a beautiful Sunday! This morning I have off-beat cartoon characters for my nail art; does anyone remember Humphrey the Bear and the Humphrey Hop? Here’s a refresher if you don’t: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y75sOGHdrxQ I loved these Disney shorts when I was a kid, I couldn’t get enough of them. 🙂 So I decided to do Ranger J. Audobon Woodlore and Humphrey, with litter sticks. I’ve used Précision Nail Lacquer Poison Ivy over Milani Showy Sea-Green for the background of my nails. Then I’ve used Milani Cupid’s Touch and Almond Bliss, Jessica Sharktooth, OPI My Vampire is Buff and Jade is the New Black, Sinful Colors Coffee, Black on Black, Snow Me White, and Graine de Poivre. Ranger J. didn’t come out too bad, but I’m afraid Humphrey doesn’t look right. LOL. Oh well, right? I can’t wait to see everyone else’s:
Thanks to everyone who joined up this time around. We would love to have you join us for August, so check out our Facebook group. 🙂 Later today, I’ll have another OMD2 Nail Art prompt, so until then,
Hi! If you’re here through StumbleUpon, please check out my Doctor Who Nails, my Lego Movie nails, and my Humphrey Hop nail art. Don’t forget to follow me if you like what you see!
Good morning! Late morning today for me – I meant to get up at around 6 to get some swatching and photo editing done when it is cooler, but….I sort of slept in. LOL.
Let’s get to today’s prompt of video games! My first video game that I remember playing was Duck Hunt. It was fun, at first, then came the frustration and that stupid dog laughing at me because I missed the duck. So, Duck Hunt it is for my nails!
I’ve used Précision Nail Lacquer Surfin’ in Maliblue for the background; then I used Sinful Colors Coffee, Snow Me White, Black on Black, Wet n Wild Stand the Test of Lime, OPI Where Did Suzi’s Man-go, and China Glaze 4-Leaf Clover.
My poor little duck looks a bit…off. LOL. I can’t wait to see the other manis for today:
I’d love to know your thoughts, let me hear them in the comments below! This afternoon, I’ll have another prompt for the OMD2 Nail Art Challenge, so until then,
