Morning all! I hope that if you’re having a heat wave like we are in Montana, you’re staying cool! I am sweltering and not staying cool because my 6month old is on a nursing streak and he’s sweaty – which makes me sweaty and him more sweaty. Ugh. It’s a sweaty mess. How about a mani that isn’t a mess….or maybe it is? I dunno. At first I didn’t really like it but then it grew on me. Let me know at the end what you think.
So I started off with OPI You’re So Vain-illa on my ring and pointer fingers. On my pointer finger, I used a giraffe print (maybe it’s a cheetah print?) decal and used Painted Polish Gray Goddess, then outlining with China Glaze Liquid Leather. I added some gems from Crystal Parade in the corner – didn’t really like how it turned out though. Continue reading
Good morning all! Today I have two Sephora by OPI polishes to show you: If You’ve Got It Haunt It, and Spark-tacular. Both I picked up on clearance at Big Lots like…ages ago.
If You’ve Got It Haunt It is a black based nail polish with iridescent glitters and silver flecks. This is sheer and dries gritty. This is 3 thin coats plus top coat.
Spark-tacular is a clear based glitter topper with glitters of silver, orange, green, pink, and blue. This is base heavy but has a good spread of glitters. This is 1 coat and no top coat over OPI Stay Off My Lawn!!
I dunno, I expected IYGIHI to be way prettier based on the bottle, so I’m a little disappointed.
Morning all! It’s been a hot minute since I had OPI on the blog so how about two of their polishes: Stay Off the Lawn! and Espresso Your Style! I picked these two up at TJMaxx months ago so I guess it’s about time I get them on the blog.
Stay Off the Lawn!! is a dark green creme polish. It reminds me of the color of fake grass. 😛 Formula was kinda thin. This was almost a OCW (One-Coat Wonder) but I did 2 coats and no top coat.
Espresso Your Style! is a reddish brown with golden shimmer. Formula was thin, and floody, and sheer. Boo! This is 2 coats and no top coat.
Even though I like EYS!, it’s still a bummer about the formula. I just can’t stand when polish runs around on me! Your thoughts?
Morning everyone! I hope you had a good weekend. 🙂 Today I have some camouflage nail art for you – or rather, failed camo nail art. I’m not quite sure where I went wrong but the end result was still pretty, even if it wasn’t what I wanted.
I used 2 coats and no top coat OPI Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! on my thumb, pointer, and pinky fingers. On my middle and ring fingers, I started off with 2 coats of OPI I Couldn’t Bare Less. Then I used My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Skull & Glossbones, Samoan Sand, and N!N!OF! to create the non-camouflage look.
Like I said, the end result is nice, just not what I wanted. What do you think of it?
Morning all & I hope you are having a wonderful April morning. 🙂 Today is another manicure I was hopeful would bring me good baby luck but it didn’t. 😛 This is OPI Significant Other Color and Different Dimension Ursa Minor.
OPI Significant Other Color is a polish I picked up from TJMaxx. In the bottle it is a pretty purple-pink, on the nail it shifts from mauve to red to gold to green. Continue reading
Hello, hello, my dear lovely readers. 🙂 I hope that your weekend was absolutely amazing. 😀 Today I have a manicure to show you with Pahlish Munchkinland and Fancy Gloss Pixie Rose and a black/white watermarble.
Pahlish Munchkinland is a pale pink base with rose gold flakes of different sizes. I layered 2 coats of this over OPI I Couldn’t Bare Less for a more pronounced white look. I dotted with Fancy Gloss Pixie Rose.
Fancy Gloss Pixie Rose is a pink holographic micro glitter with green flash/shimmer. Formula is very thick, and dries very textured. I used 3 thin coats but it took me THREE coats of top coat to get a glossy shine. I had no texture after 2 coats of top coat but no real glossy shine. No bueno.
I used OPI polishes to create the black & white watermarble. Of course, my other hand came out a bit better (and of course, I didn’t take a picture of her).
I love how this turned out – it’s just kind of a funky skittlette manicure (and you know how I like those!). What are your thoughts?
Hi everyone! Happy Saturday to you 🙂 I’m skating in late in the week with the OPI Mad Love color of the week which is nude/neutral this week. In this week’s life update, I also want to talk about an upsetting situation that happened to me this week and the importance of being kind.
I started off with 2 coats and no top coat of OPI Samoan Sand. This is fairly sheer, but does self-level nicely. Continue reading
