Ahhh, good Sunday morning to you! I got to sleep in today – well, everyone slept in! Isn’t it nice when you can do that? Today I have a manicure “from the vault” that I came across the other day. It’s such a fun manicure, I just had to share it with you!
I started off with two coats of Milani Almond Bliss on my pointer and ring finger, and making a gradient with A Girl Obsessed What’s the Tealio. Obviously I have just What’s the Tealio on my middle finger. On my pinky, I started with a base of Milani Splendid Strawberry and created dots with Almond Bliss.
Someone had commented that it reminded them of the toadstools in Super Mario Bros, and now that I see that, I can’t “unsee” it, you know? LOL! AGO What’s the Tealio is one of my favorite green/teal holos and I really need to pull it out and use it!
Well, I hope you enjoy your day, do you have any plans for this lazy Sunday?
Good afternoon everyone! Is your Thursday afternoon going well? I’m currently waiting for my contacts to finish cleaning (I stuck them in solution that you have to let sit for 6 hours), so I’m wearing my broke down glasses that I hate. LOL! I’m going to show you my fruit nail art and tell you what I’ve used – and THEN I’ll tell you what the nail art is supposed to be. I want to see if you’ll “get it”. 🙂
For my pointer and pinky fingers, I’ve used Milani Splendid Strawberry with Sinful Colors Mint Tropics. For my middle and ring fingers, I’ve used Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Black on Black.
So have you guessed what fruit I’ve tried to do? Or do you give up? It’s a favorite fruit of mine: dragonfruit! Though, it doesn’t really look too much like it. LOL. You can check out a fruit basket of nail art by clicking through to the link-up. Until tomorrow,
Good morning lovelies! I hope you’re ready for a beautiful Sunday! This morning I have off-beat cartoon characters for my nail art; does anyone remember Humphrey the Bear and the Humphrey Hop? Here’s a refresher if you don’t: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y75sOGHdrxQ I loved these Disney shorts when I was a kid, I couldn’t get enough of them. 🙂 So I decided to do Ranger J. Audobon Woodlore and Humphrey, with litter sticks. I’ve used Précision Nail Lacquer Poison Ivy over Milani Showy Sea-Green for the background of my nails. Then I’ve used Milani Cupid’s Touch and Almond Bliss, Jessica Sharktooth, OPI My Vampire is Buff and Jade is the New Black, Sinful Colors Coffee, Black on Black, Snow Me White, and Graine de Poivre. Ranger J. didn’t come out too bad, but I’m afraid Humphrey doesn’t look right. LOL. Oh well, right? I can’t wait to see everyone else’s:
Thanks to everyone who joined up this time around. We would love to have you join us for August, so check out our Facebook group. 🙂 Later today, I’ll have another OMD2 Nail Art prompt, so until then,
Good morning you wonderfully amazing people out there! It’s Wednesday, thank goodness, though my eyeballs are still attempting to wake up this morning. I haven’t had a comparison post in awhile, so when I happened upon Milani Diamond Dazzle, I just knew I had to compare it to Sinful Colors Smokin Hot. Smokin Hot is seriously one of my favorite toppers ever, you can see it here in an older post.
I’ve layered both Diamond Dazzle and Smokin Hot over Milani Power Periwinkle. Diamond Dazzle went on a bit thick in 1 coat, and then dries to a slightly bumpy finish. Smokin Hot is perfection in 1 coat, with no bumpy finish. I used KBShimmer Clearly on Top over everything.
Here’s close-up macros of the two, to see the difference better. Milani Diamond Dazzle has bigger glitter particles and a more pearlescent finish:
Sinful Colors Smokin’ Hot has finer holo particles:
They definitely aren’t dupes, and I feel comfortable saying that you need both, as they are similar but different enough.
Do you have either of these toppers? I’d love to know what you think of both of them! Let me hear it in the comments below. Have a great day out there, and until the next time,
Good morning beautiful people out there! I cannot believe that another month has gone by; seriously, April flew by so quickly! So I have another installment of my favorites from April. 🙂 Click through after the photo collage if you want to see more.
Good morning all my lovelies! I hope you had a great weekend – ours was so busy and long that I definitely deserved the two glasses of wine I had last night. 😉 Today I have some random Milani polishes to show you, so let’s see them!
Milani Almond Bliss, 2 coats. I felt I had to do a bit thicker of coats as it was kind of uneven in application.
Milani Creamy Pistachio, 2 coats. Gorgeous green – perfect application. Love this color!
Milani Peacock, 2 coats. So super bright, it was kind of crazy!
Milani Purple Martin, 2 coats. This is practically indistinguishable from Milani Vivid Violet, so if you have one you don’t need the other. You can see a comparison on this post.
Milani Totally Cool, 2 coats, over Milani Purple Martin (2 coats). First with Beauty Secrets top coat, then with AGO Matte-Ict top coat.
Well, what are your thoughts on these Milani polishes? I will say that I much prefer the brush on the newer Milani polishes, the brushes on all these polishes are round, and harder to apply the polishes. But these are totally hitting the spot for spring, for me! Until the next time,
