Hi everyone! Today I’m showing off a 3-pack of nail polish from JulieG with the polishes Tropical, Bikini, and Dream in Pretty. This 3-pack is available from Jesse’s Girl for $10. I also have 3 easy nail art looks to show you with each polish that do not require any nail art tools. (Also, my camera really hates bright neon colors so I tried to get as close as I could!)
Hi everyone! Quick posting here this morning. We had a rare snow day called yesterday (first time in 25 years) and so this morning I’m behind on my blogging and other work!
For today’s 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge prompt of presents, I started off with 2 coats of JulieG White Orchid. I then used Glitter Gal Cosmetics Dorothy’s Revenge with star stencils as a backdrop. Finally I used an unnamed JulieG minty green nail polish for my bows.
It isn’t my favorite look, but it isn’t too bad, is it? Let’s see the rest of the nail art for today:
I hope you are having a fairly pleasant week. Roads are crappy here (hence the snow day called for all schools yesterday) so I’m white-knuckling it while going anywhere. Does your area ever get snow days called?
Good morning my loves! Late post today, I know. I went on a road trip last week (with children, phew!) and I’m still recuperating from that. I had a great time visiting family, it’s always a let down to leave, you know? But let’s cheer up with a sparkly and fun manicure!
I started off with 3 coats of ellagee Crown Jewels on my ring finger and thumb. On my other fingers, I used 2 coats of Julie G White Orchid, then used a dry sponge to sponge on Julie G Cabana Boy and Fierce & Fab.
ellagee Crown Jewels is seriously an amazing polish! So sparkly and pretty – check it out in action on this instagram video I took. It does have kind of a textured finish, so I used a coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and then a coat of Digital Nails Ain’t Nobody Got Time For That.
I think I wore this mani for quite some time, I was just in love with it! It was just cheerful and happy. 🙂
Just an FYI, I came back from vacation and did a little mini de-stash of indie polishes, I’d love if you checked out my Facebook post and see if there is anything there you can’t live without. 🙂
Well, I hope you have a great day, and I’ll talk to you soon!
Good morning, lacquer lovers! I hope you had simply the best weekend. 🙂 It’s been super hot here, and my office is a sauna, so apologies for missing the In Case You Missed It round up post on Saturday. It’ll be back next week! Today, though, I have a super hot and fun summery manicure for you.
I started with 3 thin coats of ellagee The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway on my index and pinky fingers.
On my middle and ring fingers, I used 3 thin coats of Julie G Oh Em Gee!. I then used Julie G White Orchid on my ring finger to create an anchor, and on my middle finger, I used a bow vinyl decal from You Polish (press sample).
Of course, here’s an up-close shot of the ellagee polish. Isn’t it just a beauty?
I had so much fun creating this manicure, and I loathed to take it off! Isn’t that the best thing about creating a good manicure, though? You can still buy the bow vinyl decals from YouPolish for $5.50 for 75 on a sheet.
Well, I hope you have a great start to your week, talk to you soon!
Happy Easter Monday everyone! I hope you all had a relaxing weekend. I won’t apologize for my radio silence, I have had a really lovely few days with my family. Yesterday was a little dicey because when I know there is going to be a lot of people in an area or I know I’ll feel enclosed, I get anxiety because of claustrophobia and agoraphobia. So…going to church was a little scary (which it shouldn’t be!) because there were a lot of people and dammit, they were breathing all the air!! 😛 But, I made it through. 🙂
I used Delush Polish Amazemint on my ring and pinky finger (3 coats), and KBShimmer Hexy Bikini on my thumb (3 coats). For my pointer and middle fingers, I started off with 3 thin coats of JulieG White Orchid and then created stripes with B Squared Lacquer Kandi (hot pink) and Plur (hot turquoise). Amazemint is more green toned in person, I should be able to have swatch photos on the blog this week. 🙂
This complimented my dress that I wore for yesterday really well, I think! From instagram, here’s the photo of my gramma and I yesterday.
All in all, it was a really nice day. I hope that you enjoyed your weekend as well, if you celebrated Easter or not. I’ll see you later this week with more pretty polishes!
Good afternoon, beautiful reader! I’m so excited about today’s prompt for the 12 Days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge, so let’s jump right in.
The prompt for today is “Ugly Sweater Nail Art”. I have to admit, I’m not “hipster” enough to really get why ugly sweaters are cool now. BUT, I really had fun searching for a design for today! I saw several sweaters where Rudolph was vomiting up Christmas bows, so I decided to go for that. (Check out more sweaters here, you’ll see my inspiration there!)
I started off with 2 coats of Sinful Colors My Turn, which I had forgotten was a matte nail polish. This is 2 coats:
I then placed striping tape on each nail and painted Sephora by OPI Frankly I Don’t Give A-dam over My Turn.
Then using admittedly a lot of other Sinful Colors nail polishes that I didn’t bother to write down, I created Rudolph, and some bows.
I’m cracking myself up over here, because looking at this makes me giggle. Let’s check out some more awesomely “ugly” nail art for today:
I’m also participating in the annual holiday nails blog hop hosted by The Sparkle Queen:
I can’t wait for you to tell me what you think of this, so holler at me in the comments below!
Good afternoon! I hope you’re having a great Friday afternoon, we’re having some lovely light summer weather today and I’m trying to enjoy it fully. This afternoon for the rainbow prompt of the OMD2 Nail Art Challenge, I’ve gone with a rainbow water marble!
I started off with a black base (Sinful Colors Black on Black), and then I used the JulieG Cruise collection (reviewed here) to create the water marble. I’m really pleased with the end result, I’ve been practicing getting the same design or flow across all the nails. It’s not quite there yet, but I’m getting closer.
I’d love to know what you think of this before you check out the rest of today’s entries. Tomorrow, I’ll have two nail art posts again – one for the Embrace Your Geekness Challenge and another OMD2 prompt. Until then,
