Okay so when I was in Hot Topic the other day looking at polish, I saw this eyeshadow palette sitting there and dang it, for once I was just gonna buy something just because it looks pretty and not worry about reviews. Should I have been impulsive or not? Read on! Continue reading
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a good afternoon. I realized I hadn’t shown a makeup look in awhile and I had some lipsticks sent to me to try out – Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate in 40 and 41 – so let’s kill 2 birds with 1 stone here. 🙂 I’ve also used an older eyeshadow palette by Sephora tailored for green eyes.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate in 40 is a more yellow-leaning neutral lipstick (on me anyway). Continue reading
Hi everyone! I thought I’d share my hair and makeup look I created a few weeks ago for attending a local Renaissance Faire (RennFaire). It’s always fun to go to this RennFaire because 1 – there are a ton of redheads which I don’t always get to see! and 2 – the booths are fun to peruse and activities are so fun to watch.
I loosely followed this picture from mabsmakeup on instagram for my eye makeup. My friend Kate suggested that I do some deep greens but as I had other obligations that day, I couldn’t go too crazy. Continue reading
Happy Sunday all! I am seriously excited to show you today’s makeup look that I created with Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadows so let’s just jump right to it. I’ve also used a few Wet N Wild products in this look – I’ll detail everything in this post. I have used a few products from GDE that I was provided with to use in makeup looks. I was inspired by this look from taniawallerx3.
So…you might have noticed that this published this morning and nothing was written! That’s because I was exhausted last night and forgot to check that this was ready to go before I turned off my computer. Yesterday afternoon, I mowed most of my front yard, which took an hour and a half, and I was just beat to all get-out. Anyway, for realsies this time, let’s check out Jesse’s Girl Fire Fly and Glee.
Fire Fly is a golden flake polish that in some lights has a greenish tinge. This is meant to be a topper as it is quite sheer. It has a good consistency and dries satin. This is 3 coats plus top coat.
Glee is a sea-green nail polish with golden shimmer. It is more green in real life. This is sheer and applies unevenly. It might stain as well! This is 3 coats plus top coat.
Okay, now that you’ve seen these for yourself, what are your thoughts? I picked these up awhile back from Jesse’s Girl on clearance, and it looks like there are still quite a few polishes on sale for $2!
Morning everyone! Lately I’ve noticed that reviewing makeup notwithstanding, I’ve fallen into a rut with my makeup looks – I tend to play it safe with neutrals & browns or neutrals & purples. I mean, yeah, play to your strengths but I need to stretch myself a bit.
That’s how this makeup look with Glamour Doll Eyes Dreamboat and Cozy Sweater with Jesse’s Girl Sounds of the City eyeshadow palette came about. I’ve also used an untried lippie from Jordana, Cinnamon Toast from the Sweet Cream Matte line. Continue reading
Hi lovely readers! Earlier today I showed you product photos & swatches of the Wet N Wild Queen of My Heart makeup collection. This afternoon, I’ll be showing you the first of three makeup looks I created with these products. Today I’m starting with what I think is my favorite of the three eyeshadow palettes: Will You Marina Me. I’ve also used MegaGlo Cheek & Lip Tint in Flirt On the Street and Crush Upon a Time; and the MegaGlo Highlighting Powder in Lilac to Reality.
