Yo ho ye land lubbers! I think I have pirate speak on the brain because of the name of this nail polish collection from CrowsToes Nail Color: the Pearls of Wisdom. Orrrr….I could just be weird. Yeah, that’s probably it. 😉 Anyway, this collection is a 6 piece collection with a bonus 7th polish when you buy the whole shebang. It includes: Triple-Double Standard, 3 Sides to Every Story, Suck It Up Buttercup, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Glass House?…drop the rock, Projection Deflection & Misdirection; the bonus polish is called The Next time You think you’re perfect Try Walking on water (TNTYTYPTWOW). Each of these polishes (other than the bonus) are in a pearlescent base that has shiftiness and added glitter.
For my full 4-finger swatches, I’m showing each polish over black (sponged & painted – you’ll see). You’ll also get to see a macro collage of each polish by itself, over black, and over white. Overall, the formula on them was a little hard to get even over another color (hence why I sponged over black), but Madame Crow has tweaked the polishes’ formula to make sure they are at their absolute best! Happy Easter all – that is, if you celebrate it! If not, Happy Sunday! 😀 I hope you all have had a relaxing weekend – to be honest, it’s been crazy here. But I really quickly want to show you my manicure today with Parrot Polish Blue Macaw, China Glaze Bite Me, KBShimmer Salt Water Sassy, and CrowsToes Nail Color Sweet as Sugar…Cold As Ice. I’ve also used nail gems from Crystal Parade.
I started with 2 coats of Blue Macaw on my fingers. Formula is a bit thin, and it does dry a bit brush-strokey. Continue reading
Morning everyone! I am so excited to show you these photos of Baroness X Fire Opal with my giveaway nail polish duo of Be Happy and Buy Polish [press sample]. I wanted to show you them yesterday in the giveaway post, but that post was getting a little too long. I made the decision to hold on until today!
At first, I decided to just use Fire Opal over Be Happy, because I wasn’t sure how it would look over Buy Polish. (Hey look at that purple flash of Buy Polish in the above photo!) This is 1 coat plus top coat over everything except my ring finger.
Hellloooo everyone! Today marks 4 years that I’ve been blogging, woohoo!! To be honest, last summer I was really dragging and doubted if I would or could continue this blog. But I’m glad I got a second (third? fourth?) wind because I truly do love showing off nail polish and talking about beauty stuffs with you. To celebrate, and to show my appreciation, I am giving away one nail polish duo with Baroness X and CrowsToes Nail Color. These are both brands that I buy from regularly so I asked the makers if we could put together a duo to celebrate my blogiversary and Be Happy and Buy Polish (the nail polish duo) was born!
Read on to see this duo in action before entering the giveaway (or just head straight to the giveaway page!). Hold on to yer butts, lots of photos coming atcha!
Hi everyone! Today I have an updated swatch for you of CrowsToes Huginn & Muninn. You might remember seeing this under Instant Xmas (just add nails). I hadn’t worn this in so long, it was nice to pull out this beauty!
Huginn & Muninn is a purple based polish that shifts from purple to blue to green to purple-red to a green-gold. It’s so purty!
Formula was a bit thin but not too bad. This is 3 coats and no top coat.
It was nice to pull out this oldie but goodie! When’s the last time you did that?
Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! Who else is excited for 2016 to be over? I mean, it’s been a crazy year in the world, but I know that personally it was a pretty good year. But still, I’m ready for a new year and exciting things (like a baby, hopefully soon!). I decided to do some sparkly nails for NYE, based on a mani I saw by BreezytheNailPolishLover on Facebook. I’ve used ILNP I See You, ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights, CrowsToes Nail Color Maxxed Out, and China Glaze Golden Enchantment.
ILNP I See You is a creamy champagne holographic polish.
Formula is fairly sheer, but it has a really nice holo flame without top coat. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
I then used ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights for a half-moon manicure. This is one of my older indie polishes, and it still performs great! It is also the blackest holographic polish I own (I believe).
Over MSRTN, I first used CrowsToes Nail Color Maxxed Out in a waterfall pattern, then China Glaze Golden Enchantment (which is a clear base with holographic specks).
You can tell my half-moons changed. Well, I wasn’t happy with them so I tried to make them deeper and they ended up looking like cat heads. Sigh. I try to do one simple mani and they end up looking strange. LOL. Now that I’ve seen cat heads, I can’t stop seeing them, either!
Anyway, I hope you have a safe & fun New Year’s Eve – our crew will be at home celebrating. May 2017 hold nothing but the best for you & yours!
Oh boy! Have I got a post for you today! I hope you are ready for the blinding beauty I’ve got coming your way because these CrowsToes Nail Color polishes for Christmas *ahem* CrowsMas 2016 are pretty freaking amazing. This is a small, 4-piece collection, but it packs a lot of punch. Instant XMAS (just add nails), Holiday Nuts, …I Need a Tinselectomy, and Sideswiped are serious must-haves for any polish collector. Enough chatter, because I have a serious amount of photos today for you!
