Bee’s Knees Lacquer Fauna, 3 coats plus matte top coat. This was more sheer than I expected but it’s still gorgeous!
China Glaze Let’s Jam [wow, so runny!!]
Polish ‘M Motivate, 3 coats plus matte top coat. Great formula! [Gift from maker]
KBShimmer Oh Matte!
I jammed my finger playing at the park with my kids on Sunday so there went my swatching plans yesterday. <_< Of course I had all these plans to get a bunch of polishes swatched and that jammed those all up. 😛
Anyway, you’ll be getting nail art posts for the rest of the week, I hope you don’t mind. 🙂 I applied a coat of Let’s Jam to my nails and let dry. Then I applied another coat and applied the other two polishes to the nail before swirling around with a brush.
KBShimmer You Rocket My World, 2 coats over China Glaze Liquid Leather

multichrome nail disc gems from also who knows where (actually I think Nicole Diary)
This was such a fun mani! My husband doesn’t often understand my mis-matched manis but honestly, I don’t care. 😀 I mean, my socks don’t even usually match and it drives him crazy.
Aww, I love you too, KBShimmer! ❤ What, you don’t see a vague shape of a heart here? Don’t ask me how I accomplished that because I have no idea.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer The Magician, 3 coats plus top coat
L.A. Colors Jelly Sheer Kiss, 2 coats
China Glaze Papa Don’t Peach, 3 coats plus top coat
Sorry not sorry if you’re sick of my magnetic manis at this point. 😀 For this mani, I’ve used a stamp head to create the marble look (check this tutorial if you need help). I hit the polish with the magnet while it was still on the stamp head and again after top coat.
Wet N Wild French White Creme, 2 coats (under gradient and stand alone)
Polish ‘M Bittersweet and Tangelo
China Glaze Flying Dragon, 3 coats plus regular top coat then matte top coat
China Glaze Liquid Leather
Tonic Polish Divine, 3 coats plus top coat
I gotta start posting my manis as I do them, otherwise I’m never gonna get caught up! I seriously have about a dozen manicures that I haven’t even scheduled yet (never mind the ones I have scheduled into July!). I guess this is what happens when I’ve been changing my manicure every day or every other day. Continue reading
Revlon Treat & Boost base coat, 1 coat
L.A. Colors Jelly Sheer Perfection, 2 coats
L.A. Colors Hot Blooded
Bad Bitch Polish No Tricks
China Glaze Liquid Leather
Funky Fingers Gesso
Dreamland Lacquer Ooh Shiny QDTC, 1 coat
I’m writing this on Saturday night and dear God I am so glad this day is almost over. My husband had an employee call out sick and so he has to cover that shift; this means he’s working almost 20 hours straight. This also means that besides having a head cold, I was run ragged by my 4 (
wild, crazy) dear, sweet children all by myself from sun up to sun down. Continue reading
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Cat Island, 3 coats plus top coat. This had a really great application and formula. I like their long, flat brush too. The magnetic effect was more subtle than I liked, but it’s still beautiful.
Bad Bitch Polish November Dusk, 3 coats plus top coat. Beautiful formula, as per usual for BBP. Man, I miss them!
China Glaze Liquid Leather, 1 coat
I have such a backlog of nail art to show you right now. I’ve been changing my nails every day or every other day because I’ve been going through some pretty bad anxiety. Sometimes doing my nails and the ritual of it helps calm it a bit. There’s just something so soothing about taking off polish, and filing my nails, and then applying new polish.
Anyway, I’m trying out a new pose, so you’ll start to see that interspersed on the blog from here on out. For this mani, I’ve used a version of this tutorial from kombucha_witch_. I went dark with the background because I thought Cat Island would show up really nicely – and it did!
KBShimmer Thrust Issues, 3 coats plus top coat. Formula was a little thick but still workable. I used this tutorial for using the magnet, it worked better on some nails than others. I think I just need to practice the technique.
China Glaze Mega Bite, 3 coats plus top coat. Sheer and thin but pretty!
Crystal Parade Crystal/Pearl Steampunk Mix
I’m obsessing over my magnetic polishes I bought from KBShimmer so I paired it with an old China Glaze that I picked up awhile back from a local beauty supply store. Then I wanted to fancy it up a bit, so dug through my stash for this mix from Crystal Parade. I think it works quite nicely! Click through for more pictures.
