Hi everyone! I have a huge post today so let’s jump right in. I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorite indie polishes that I showed on the blog in 2015 but I finally got it down to 20…p.s. *phew!
Trip is a dusty orange holographic nail polish. You know, I’ve never thought that I was an orange polish person, but I guess I’ve been showing quite a few of them lately! 😛
This is 3 coats plus top coat. I really ended up enjoying how this looks on me, so perhaps I’m changing my mind about orange polish!
Have you changed your mind about how a certain color looks on your nails? Let me know what color it was!
Hi everyone! I hope you are ready for an awesome weekend! Do you have any plans? This is the first weekend we don’t…and I’m not sure I want to rush to make any since it’s going to get very hot. On the plus side though, the pool is set up and almost ready to go. 😀
Today I have Celestial Cosmetics Adrenalin to show you. This is a gorgeous lime green holographic nail polish, shown here in 3 thin coats plus top coat.
This is such a perfect summery nail polish color! It makes me think of mojitos and nighttime talks over drinks. (Sometimes my imagination runs away with me, lol!)
I hope you have a great weekend – I’ll be seeing you on Monday with some very fun nail art!
Hey hey, it’s Thursday! Are you having a good week? My kids get out of school today and I’m not ready for summer yet! No activities planned so I guess I’ll have to start wingin’ it. 😛 Today I have two polishes from Celestial Cosmetics: September and October 2014, which I purchased from Color4Nails.
September 2014 is a seriously gorgeous teal linear holographic nail polish.
This is 3 coats with top coat. Definitely worthy of being my birth month’s nail polish! 😛
October 2014 is a coppery linear holographic nail polish.
This is 2 coats with top coat. Though it isn’t normally a color I’d gravitate towards, I’m really glad I picked it up!
As of this writing, October 2014 is still available through Color4Nails, but I don’t see September in their store. Pick up October quickly!
Let me know which polish you’re really digging, and I’ll talk to you more tomorrow,
Happy Sunday morning to you, lovely readers! I hope you’re having a fantastic weekend. Today I have two polishes from Celestial Cosmetics: Death Is Not the End and Sparks Fly Out. Both were purchased from Color4Nails.com.
Death is Not the End is a blackened base with blue to purple shift.
This is 2 coats with top coat.
Sparks Fly Out is also a blackened base but with blue-green shimmer and glass flecks.
This is 2 coats with top coat.
Though I think both of these polishes are pretty, I’m not quite sure why I keep buying polishes like this. I always end up disappointed by them (no fault but mine) and giving them away. LOL! I’d love to know what you think of either of these polishes, so give me a holler in the comments.
Good morning, my awesome readers! I hope you are having a great day so far. Yesterday I went to have my hair trimmed and decided to take a leap on getting bangs – and I’m so glad I did! I really love them so far, though I’m going to have a learning curve with them. My new eyeglasses also came in yesterday and once again, I love the ones I picked! (If you want to check out a pic, you can see the bangs & glasses here.)
Okay, enough babbling, let’s check out a pretty polish! Celestial Cosmetics is a new-to-me brand, and I was perusing Color4Nails awhile back and decided to go a little crazy. I picked up 7 Celestial Cosmetics polishes and today I have my favorite for you: Comet Lulin.
Comet Lulin is a bright kelly green jelly polish with green glitters and green flakies. (BTW, check out the wikipedia page on the actual Comet Lulin to see pics…so pretty!!)
My camera definitely wanted to make this cooler-toned than it actually is, silly camera! The photos from the lightbox are more true-to-life for this polish, but I wanted to include a natural light photo so you can see how those glitters really look.
In the sun, you can really see the beautiful holo. I’ve used 3 coats plus Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and 1 coat of regular top coat. I’ve included a photo of Comet Lulin without Glitter Food below:
You can definitely see how it needs smoothing out.
I’m really digging on Celestial Cosmetics now and I’d love to hear your picks if you have any! You can purchase Celestial Cosmetics from Color4Nails or check out the stockist list on Celestial Cosmetics website.
I hope you have a great day and I’ll talk to you tomorrow,
Hey everyone! Just a quick post today with my nail mail from the past few weeks, and some new in-store purchases. Nail mail just makes me so happy, like something in my day has gone right!
First up is the new Barielle Bling It On collection (press sample). From left to right: Angel Dust, Golden Halo, Sea Urchin, Shooting Star, and Amethyst. I really like how Angel Dust looks. I’m not sure about Amethyst – it seems a little out of place with the other 4.
Next is my first ever order from Rica! From left to right: If These Narwhals Could Talk, Good Night, and Good Afternoon. I’ve heard great things about Rica’s jelly polishes so I’m excited to try out Good Night especially.
Next is my Pahlish order (one of many, haha!). From left to right: Confetti Cannon (March 2015 duo), Tissue Paper Flowers (March 2015 duo), Train Underwater, and Italian Cream Soda. Confetti Cannon is already my favorite of these, I think. It sparkles so nicely!
I picked up the Wet N Wild Silver Lake collection at Kmart the other day. From left to right: Wear Skinny Jeans, A Latte Love (not so grey IRL), Reject the Mainstream (brighter IRL), Tree Hugger (also brighter IRL), Stream of Consciousness, Warm Filter. I really like Tree Hugger and Warm Filter here.
I have been wanting the B Squared Lacquer EDM collection so bad and I finally bought it! From left to right: Rave, Plur, Trance, Down Tempo, The Drop, Kandi. No surprise, I really like The Drop and Trance already!
My first Celestial Cosmetics! This year I really have been wanting to try out new brands, so I made a leap of faith to try out Celestial. From top to bottom, left to right: Adrenalin, LE October 2014, Death is Not the End, Sparks Fly Out, Comet Lulin, LE September 2014, Trip. I have Adrenalin on my toes right now and it makes me so happy!
When KBShimmer was running their sale a few weeks ago, I picked up a few polishes I’ve been eyeing. From left to right: Make My Gray, Funky Cold Patina, I’m So Sweet Pea, Cool Hand Cuke, Wind Swarm. Not sure which of these I’ll try out next…hmmmm
OPI finds! Who doesn’t love good deals? From left to right: OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender, Samoan Sand, Golden Waves, Frog In My Throat.
I picked up a few OPI polishes from the Hawaiian collection from a beauty supply store. From left to right: OPI Aloha From OPI, That’s Hula-rious!, Lost My Bikini in Molokini, This Color’s Making Waves. I might pick up a few more from this collection but I haven’t decided yet.
Lastly! I picked up a few more Sephora Formula X polishes on clearance at my local Sephora inside JCP. From left to right: Sephora Formula X Magma, Desire, Push the Limits. I don’t normally go for orange polishes, but Magma just looked so pretty I couldn’t resist!
I still am waiting on another Pahlish order (I might have a problem), a Carpe Noctem Cosmetics order, and another set of polishes from Barielle. *phew*
What would you like to see first out of all these polishes? Let me know in the comments below!
