Good morning out there, my wonderful readers! I hope you’re having a good weekend so far. Today I have a quick swatch of butter LONDON Jaded Jack to show you, along with the weekly Beauty Blog Coalition roundup.
Jaded Jack is a lime green nail polish that I’ve been searching for – and finally found it at TJMaxx for $3.99! I love good deals like that.
This sun shot is more color accurate to how bright it is in real life. Mmmm, a scrumptious green!
Let’s check out what BBC members had going on this week:
Thanks for stopping by and I’ll see you tomorrow!
Hello and welcome to your Friday!! Woohoo, right? Well, that’s a definite WOOHOO for me! 😉 Let’s start the weekend off with some holographic goodness with butter LONDON Dodgy Barnett.
I picked up Dodgy Barnett awhile back at TJMaxx and while it didn’t look like much in the store, I did catch a flash of holo that made me say “Wait just a minute!”
This is 3 thin coats with top coat. It isn’t the most holographic nail polish ever, but for $3.99, I was quite pleased with my purchase!
Well, do you have any fun plans for this weekend? Not much going on here, I’m just hoping for some actual spring weather. 😉
Good morning everyone! I hope you’re looking forward to a wonderful weekend. This is the last weekend before my husband has to work 4 weekends in a row, so we’re going to try to soak up some good quality time together as a family.
I have been wanting Jack the Lad for quite awhile, and then I finally found it randomly at a TJ Maxx. I’m so glad I picked it up, it’s one of my new favorites! I’ve used Beauty Secrets base coat, then 3 thin coats of Jack the Lad, then A Girl Obsessed Matte-ict top coat:
Then I used Beauty Secrets top coat:
I love the depth and complexity of this polish! The tiny green specks, and gold specks, and some turquoise specks, all blend together for this gorgeous deep green polish! What are your thoughts about this polish?
I hope you have an amazing day, and until tomorrow,
Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. 🙂 I was feeling like I needed a bit of a pick-me-up last night, so I had a hot bath. Man, there’s nothing better feeling than a hot shower or bath, you know?
Switching gears to other things that make me feel good: nail polish! Today’s Radiant Orchid polishes are at the bright part of the spectrum: they don’t really fit into any other category. If you’ve missed them, here is part one, two, three, and four. Here is the color swatch from Pantone, and the color pyramid from Sephora, that I’m using to go by:
We start off with essie madison ave-hue:
LA Splash Blowfish Fushia:
butter LONDON Disco Biscuit:
Sally Hansen Twisted Pink:
L’Oreal Check Me Out:
What do you think about this color set? Orly Frolic has to be my favorite one – it’s just this great, bright, purple/pink color. I also like L’Oreal Check Me Out – that purple shimmer is so nice! Don’t forget that if you’d like to see comparisons of any polishes, to let me know in the comments. 🙂 The next set is the berry colors.
Tomorrow is the last day of the Xmas mani challenge, can you believe it? I’m still deciding on what I’m going to do – it’s freestyle tomorrow. Any suggestions? Later today I’ll have the last Advent manicure, so until then,
Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend, and are ready for the week. Are you a person who jumps right into the Christmas/holiday craziness, or are you low-key? We are definitely low-key about it until Christmas actually gets here. But…my husband definitely “Griswald”s the house every year. This was how our house looked last year (he added more lights after this):
Okay, onto the actual manicure for today. I had a really, really, really hard time narrowing my favorites down to just 3; I finally picked butter LONDON All Hail the Queen, piCture pOlish cosmos, and OPI Solitaire.
I started off with 3 thin coats of AHTQ, then taped off sections and painted on cosmos.
Inside, no flash, lamplight:
Finally I filled in one section with Solitaire.
This might be my most favorite manicure yet from the whole challenge! What do you think? Do you like it with Solitaire or without? Click through for more awesome manicures!
Good morning all! I hope you’re having a wonderful Friday so far. My dryer finally got fixed (dryer belt snapped) so today and this whole weekend will be filled with doing laundry. Fun, huh? Anyway, onto today’s challenge: color you own the most of. Since I went on a blue kick awhile back, that’s what I went with today!
I started off with 3 coats of OPI Unfor-greta-bly Blue.
Inside, direct sunlight, no flash:
I then used striping tape to create lines, then used butter LONDON Inky Six over the top, for a blue on blue effect. You only get three fingers because I messed up my pinky. 😦
Outside, sunlight, no flash:
I love the look of this! What do you think? Check out the other awesome manicures by clicking the blue frog below:
Don’t forget tomorrow I’m sharing my favorite Revlon Parfumerie nail polishes! Until then,
Good morning! I have some silly animals for you today! I didn’t want to do an animal pattern or print, so I tried my hand at doing actual animals. I wanted to do a desert scene with bright blue sky, shimmering sand, and camels. Let’s take a look!
I started off with a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff, then painted Wet N Wild Teal Slowly & See over it for the blue sky. For the shimmering sand, I added butter LONDON Tart with a Heart over MVIB. For the camels, I used a combination of Maybelline High Style Sienna with MVIB and OPI Black Onyx.
Well, they’re definitely not perfect, but I’m glad I’m getting the chance to practice my artistic skills. Check out the rest of the awesome animal manicures by clicking below:
Let me know what you think of my camels! Until tomorrow,
