Bee’s Knees Lacquer The Fool, 3 coats plus top coat. Formula was so great! I could have done 2, I don’t think the third was necessary.
Sometimes I just do a simple manicure – but with all the beautiful magnetic polishes coming out (oops, just bought 3 more BKL magnetic polishes!), I guess there really is no such thing as a simple mani. 😀
Bee’s Knees Lacquer The World, 3 coats plus top coat
Sinful Colors 2295 Purpunk Transforming Top Coat
B Squared Lacquer Kandi
OPI Suzi Shops & Island Hops, 3 coats plus matte top coat
OPI Alpine Snow, 1 coat (under the marbled nails)
I asked on my Facebook page and instagram which of a dozen manis you, my lovely dear readers, wanted to see and the overwhelming vote was for this mani! (Pssst, please go tell me which mani to show you next!) Continue reading
Bee’s Knees Lacquer The Magician, 3 coats plus top coat
L.A. Colors Jelly Sheer Kiss, 2 coats
China Glaze Papa Don’t Peach, 3 coats plus top coat
Sorry not sorry if you’re sick of my magnetic manis at this point. 😀 For this mani, I’ve used a stamp head to create the marble look (check this tutorial if you need help). I hit the polish with the magnet while it was still on the stamp head and again after top coat.
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Cat Island, 3 coats plus top coat. This had a really great application and formula. I like their long, flat brush too. The magnetic effect was more subtle than I liked, but it’s still beautiful.
Bad Bitch Polish November Dusk, 3 coats plus top coat. Beautiful formula, as per usual for BBP. Man, I miss them!
China Glaze Liquid Leather, 1 coat
I have such a backlog of nail art to show you right now. I’ve been changing my nails every day or every other day because I’ve been going through some pretty bad anxiety. Sometimes doing my nails and the ritual of it helps calm it a bit. There’s just something so soothing about taking off polish, and filing my nails, and then applying new polish.
Anyway, I’m trying out a new pose, so you’ll start to see that interspersed on the blog from here on out. For this mani, I’ve used a version of this tutorial from kombucha_witch_. I went dark with the background because I thought Cat Island would show up really nicely – and it did!
Sally Hansen Rosy Quartz [previously swatched, press sample], 2 coats plus top coat
Bee’s Knees Lacquer Uni-Cornicopia November COTM
Crystal Parade gems
I really gotta say that Rosy Quartz is one of my favorite sheer polishes. I paired it with this holographic polish from Bee’s Knees Lacquer and really loved how soft and yet powerful it was!
Swirled on a plastic bag, smooshed with a stamper, then smooshed onto my nails:
Polish ‘M Zoltar’s Fortune (2 coats no top coat)
Bees Knees Lacquer Salty Anon
Polish ‘M Tangelo
Dreamland Lacquer Dragonberry II
old Born Pretty Store water slide decals (which I think might have been a press sample?)
Crystal Parade Mixed Sizes Crystal Shimmer
I think part of why I am finding blogging a drag (please read yesterday’s post if you haven’t already) is because I have a backlog of manis that I want to show you first so I don’t end up showing you what’s currently on my nails and I lose my excitement over my nails. No more! This is my current mani.
