Good morning to you, lovely readers! 🙂 Are you getting used to the time change yet? I’m trying, I’m trying!
The last time I showed you an A England polish, it was Dancing with Nureyev, a light blue holographic and delicate polish. Today’s A England polish is a dark and sexy, make-a-statement, green holographic polish. This is two coats with OPI top coat.
In my opinion, this is the polish you want to wear to be noticed, when you are feeling fierce and rockin’ it. What do you think about this loverly polish? Let me hear it in the comments!
Good morning everyone! Another short & quick post from me today, as I’m pretty miserable with this dang cold.
Dancing with Nureyev is a polish I bought when Color4Nails was having a sale on A England nail polishes awhile back. When I first received it, I was totally “meh” on how it looked, but once I got it on my nails I loved it! Application was smooth, as usual. Let’s take a look – this is 2 coats with 1 coat of Glisten & Glow’s HK Girl topcoat.
Isn’t this just pretty? I just couldn’t stop staring at my nails. 🙂 I love when a nail polish completely surprises me. This and other A England nail polishes are available at the Color4Nails website and other online retailers. What are your thoughts about this polish?
Until the next time,
Good morning! It’s a very cold and snowy morning here in Montana. My nails are killing me because I went on an epic swatch-athon yesterday – all the Revlon Parfumerie nail polishes! I’ll be showing you them Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday – but you can catch sneak peeks on my instagram.
But for now, let’s get to today’s challenge manicure – a 3 color gradient and pattern. I started off with a base of A England Rose Bower, then created the gradient with piCture pOlish Ocean and A England Lady of the Lake.
I then looked around at my new favorite website for a pattern to create over the top, and settled on a chequer pattern. I used Mentality Sunny to create the chequer pattern.
I love how this turned out! It’s almost like an optical illusion on my nails. What do you think?
I know you want to see more manicures, so click the blue frog below:
Good morning all! I only had one suggestion for You Pick Tuesday and it was for OPI Mermaids Tears and A England Rose Bower. I decided I was going to try for The Nailasaurus’ waterfall look but I completely failed! Let’s see what I did.
I started off with 2 coats of OPI Mermaids Tears – and it was a bit patchy.
But I do love this color – it’s really pretty! I then tried to do the waterfall effect with just Rose Bower, but it really didn’t turn out. In fact, it looked much like a mop of hair. 😀 So I did what any reasonable person would do and I added smiley faces. LOL!
I’m calling this one a FAIL even though it did make me chuckle. What do you think? Remember that you can always suggest polishes for a manicure on my facebook wall, or leaving a comment here on the blog!
Kitsu at Buy all the Colors has nominated me for a Liebster Award, and so I’ll have that up later today! Until then,
Good afternoon everyone! I know it’s a late post tomorrow, but I had family stuff this morning, which I will tell you about tomorrow in more detail. As for right now, I’ve got a glitter manicure for you today. 🙂 These are the bottles I’ve used:
From left to right: Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food, I Love Nail Polish Clown Business, A England Lady of the Lake, Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter-A-Peel.
I started off with a good coat of Glitter-A-Peel. Then I did 3 coats of ILNP Clown business:
I then put a coat of NPB Glitter-A-Peel to smooth out the glitter, then a coat of HK Girl Fasty Dry Top Coat; then I used striping tape in a “v” shape, then did one thick coat of A England Lady of the Lake over the top:
And a shot of my polish after I peeled it off:
What do you think? I hope you like it! Check out the other great manicures by clicking here. I’ll see you tomorrow for a very special 3D manicure! Until then,
I didn’t have many votes/suggestions for today’s You Pick Tuesday, but I did have 3 votes – 2 for A England Lady of the Lake, and 1 for Hare Polish Dauphine of Decadence. I went with all Lady of the Lake, except an accent ring finger with Dauphine of Decadence over Lady of the Lake.
First, Lady of the Lake by itself. Freakin’ awesome-sauce! The deep grape color and the holo together – I can hear angels singing (almost). First picture is inside, flash:
GAWD! I love this combination so so so hard. Would you look at the blingy sparkly-ness of Dauphine of Decadence paired with the holo goodness of Lady of the Lake?! I particularly love how the purple helps the mint pieces in DoD stand out even more. What do you think? Remember, you can always suggest unused polishes from my stash on my facebook page for next week’s “You Pick” Tuesday. As always,
