Hi everyone! I hope you are planning on having a good day – or have already had a good day. Today I have a layered manicure with Scofflaw Nail Varnish Dust Bunny and Heather’s Hues Killer Costume Party.
Dust Bunny is a purple-pink polish with red flakes and green shimmer (which was super camera shy). This was a group custom for the Love Letter to Scofflaw Facebook group. Formula was thin and sheer but build able. This is 2 coats and no top coat. Continue reading
Afternoon all! As I’ve been slogging through my backlog of polishes to swatch, I’ve realized for awhile I went on a big purple polish kick. I’ve mostly grown out of it but geesh, purple polish galore over here! Now I’m on a blue polish kick. 😀 Apropos of nothing, I have two Sephora by OPI polishes today: Opening Night and Mermaid to Order.
Opening Night is a dark blue polish with cobalt blue glowiness and also hints of purple. Formula was thin and sheer; application was patchy. It dries satin. This is 3 coats plus top coat.
Mermaid to Order is a shimmery turquoise blue with shifts to purple, teal, and blue. Formula was thin and sheer; application was brushstrokey. It might stain nails! It didn’t stain mine but did stain the skin beside my nails. This is 3 thin coats and no top coat.
I gotta admit, I kinda miss seeing SOPI polishes in stores, overall they were really a great line (which is probably why I have quite a few, all picked up on clearance/Big Lots/Ross).
Hello again all! I’m back with another 3-pack of polishes from JulieG – this time with Rio de Janeiro, Santorini, and Julie’s Fave. Instead of like last time (JulieG Spring Pack #1) with easy nail art, I have medium skill nail art. For the nail art in this blog post, you’ll need: a sandwich baggie or plastic wrap, a toothpick or bobby pin (lol on finding a bobby pin in my house though), and a makeup sponge.
Morning all! Okay, up front – there’s toes at the end of this post (I hope the word “pedicure” in the title gave you a hint!) so if you don’t wanna look at my feet, don’t read to the end. 😛 😉 For once though, my manicure and pedicure were playing matchy-matchy and I wanted to show them both off!
I started off with KBShimmer Such a Vlad-Ass, which is a wine red creme polish. Formula is good, a little thin. It is a stainer! This is 2 coats plus top coat. Continue reading
Happy Saturday afternoon to you all! I’m taking advantage of children napping (sweet mercy!) to type up this post on a new polish line from Nails Inc called the Mindful Manicure collection. This includes shades in Better Together, Futures Bright, And Breathe, Balancing Act, and Good Vibes. These are infused with different minerals that are supposed to enhance your mood as you wear them. This limited edition line is currently available at Sephora.com for $15 each.
Hey everyone! You might remember this Sephora by OPI from my soft + sweet gradient a few weeks back. I wanted to use it on its own because it’s just so pretty! I paired it with ellagee Punch a Higher Floor for some added punch. 😛
SOPI Ruby Without A Cause is a red-purple based polish that shifted to royal purple to blue and also had a green shimmer to it. Continue reading
Hi there my fantastic readers! I haven’t featured Orly polish on here for like….ever so I shall fix that today. This is Orly Secret Password.
Secret Password is a purple based polish with golden and bronze flecks. This was so sheer, and thin, and uneven. This is 3 coats and no top coat. It’s so pretty, I wanted to love it. I really did. But the sheerness drove me over the edge. If I did use undies for it, I don’t know that it would look right anyway because of how uneven it applied. Womp Womp.
Well, what do you think? Worth it or not?
