Purchased by Me buttonLast of lip swatches and makeup looks for awhile – at least until I get up the energy to do more. Skeleton Makeup with Wet N Wild Fantasy Makers

Purchased by Me buttonHey everyone, I know I’ve been MIA for most of October. I’ve been seriously depressed and fighting a lot of anxiety and on top of being a mom, a wife, running social media for a business, exercising, and sleeping, I haven’t had a lot of time. Since my blog is “just for me”, doesn’t bring in any money, and does take up time, it’s fallen by the wayside. I can’t make promises that I will be better but I’m going to try to post more often.

Hot Topic Beetlejuice Handbook for the Recently Deceased eyeshadow palette swatches + makeup looks

Purchased by Me buttonHey everyone! I have several makeup/swatch posts that I’ll be sharing with you over the next week (two weeks?), starting with an eyeshadow palette from Hot Topic I picked up about a month ago, the Handbook for the Recently Deceased, which is a reference from the movie Beetlejuice. If you’ve never watched Beetlejuice, you should do yourself a favor and watch it before Halloween (or really, anytime of the year!). I need to rewatch it soon, I haven’t seen it in much too long.

First I’ll show you a look at the packaging, then the shadows and swatches, and finally the three different eye looks I created with this palette. Let’s get started!

The packaging seems sturdy and well-made. Some of the palettes at Hot Topic have very narrow openings and it’s hard to get product out, but this one bucks that trend.

Andddddd I have swatches galore in this post so it is a bit longer of a post. I hope you’re okay with that. 😛

Anyway, I saw an eyeshadow look on instagram from abajmiller and wanted to try it out. Of course, mine didn’t come out near as gorgeous as hers but that’s the way it goes. I’ve used the Lorac Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales palette again (I used it last week in my art deco makeup look). Continue reading

A few weeks ago, I spotted this palette from Lorac at my local TJ Maxx. I decided to finally use it today! I’ve been doing my hair a bit different while I wait for my upcoming trim appointment; I think it looks a bit art deco/1920s-ish, hence the art deco inspired makeup look today!
