Good morning everyone! 🙂 I’m so excited to be back posting about the Radiant Orchid nail polishes, and I hope you’re excited too. 🙂
Today’s nail polishes will be all those that fit within the berry spectrum of Radiant Orchid. I’ve used one coat of top coat on each of the following, except for Maybelline Lasting Lilac, since that is supposed to have a matte finish. If you’ve missed them, here are parts one, two, three, four, and five. I’m using this color pyramid by Sephora as a guideline:
Revlon Rich Raspberry:
essie the girls are out:
Sinful Colors Sagitta:
Sinful Colors Fig:
Sally Hansen Cherry Cherry Bang Bang:
LA Splash Blowfish Violet:
Wet N Wild Through the Grapevine:
Maybelline Lasting Lilac:
So many in this group are ones that I love but I think Sinful Colors Fig just edges out the others, with Sagitta coming a close second. What are your favorites from this selection? Don’t forget, I’d love to do a comparison post, so if you’d like to see any polishes compared to another, just ask! 🙂 The second to last post will be the Radiant Orchid glitters/holos. I can’t wait for those! Until tomorrow,
Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far. 🙂 I was feeling like I needed a bit of a pick-me-up last night, so I had a hot bath. Man, there’s nothing better feeling than a hot shower or bath, you know?
Switching gears to other things that make me feel good: nail polish! Today’s Radiant Orchid polishes are at the bright part of the spectrum: they don’t really fit into any other category. If you’ve missed them, here is part one, two, three, and four. Here is the color swatch from Pantone, and the color pyramid from Sephora, that I’m using to go by:
We start off with essie madison ave-hue:
LA Splash Blowfish Fushia:
butter LONDON Disco Biscuit:
Sally Hansen Twisted Pink:
L’Oreal Check Me Out:
What do you think about this color set? Orly Frolic has to be my favorite one – it’s just this great, bright, purple/pink color. I also like L’Oreal Check Me Out – that purple shimmer is so nice! Don’t forget that if you’d like to see comparisons of any polishes, to let me know in the comments. 🙂 The next set is the berry colors.
Tomorrow is the last day of the Xmas mani challenge, can you believe it? I’m still deciding on what I’m going to do – it’s freestyle tomorrow. Any suggestions? Later today I’ll have the last Advent manicure, so until then,
Good morning everyone! Today’s Radiant Orchid nail polishes are the light pink & purple end of the color family. Here are parts one, two, and three, if you’ve missed them.
Here is the Radiant Orchid swatch, and the color family triangle I’m using as a reference guide:
Sinful Colors Easy Going:
Color Club Endless (slightly more purple than pic shows):
Sinful Colors Beverly Hills:
China Glaze Split Perso-naility:
OPI Sparrow Me the Drama:
The next in the series are sort of the “don’t fit anywhere” set: they are the bright pinks & purples. Which one from this set do you like? Even though I usually don’t like pinks, I like Color Club Endless because of the slight purple tone in it.
Tomorrow is the second to the last Xmas mani challenge, so until then,
Hi everyone! We’re part way through the Radiant Orchid series. If you’ve missed them, please check out part one and part two. Today’s polishes will be the darkest of the series. A reminder of the color:
And the color pyramid I’m using:
OPI My Current Crush:
OPI Anti-Bleak (slightly darker & more purple than photo):
Milani Hipster Plum:
Maybelline Color Show Vintage Violet:
OPI Honk If You Love OPI:
What do you think of these dark and vampy colors within the Radiant Orchid color family? I think my favorite of this round is Milani Hipster Plum – and the best part is that I only paid $1 for it when I got it at the Dollar Tree! 😀
The next post in this series will be the light pink/purple ones – totally not my usual style, but it’s nice to have a change of pace from the “usual.” Remember to let me know if you’d like to see any of these polishes (or ones from part one & part two) next to each other on the nail, my last post in the series will be comparisons. Tomorrow I will have another Xmas mani up, so until then,
Good morning all! I’m continuing my series on nail polishes that fit into the Radiant Orchid color family. If you haven’t already, please make sure you read the first post so you know how I chose my colors. (Go ahead, I’ll wait.) Reminder, here is Radiant Orchid color:
And here is the color pyramid I’m using:
Today’s nail polishes will be just slightly darker than part one.
China Glaze Gothic Lolita:
Sinful Colors Verbena. This was so hard to get a good picture of – it is brighter than the first picture but more greyed out than the second picture.
OPI Purple with a Purpose (slightly more dark than photo):
OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI (slightly brighter than photo):
Well, what do you think of part two? Don’t forget to ask for comparisons, I’ll do those in the last part of the series. Which one of these is your favorite? Once again, I’m choosing Sinful Colors – Verbena is just a really great grey purple that still is bright and cheerful.

Hi everyone! Once the new color of the year from Pantone was announced, I knew I wanted to go through my stash and see which nail polishes would be considered part of that color scheme. I used this pyramid from Sephora to go through my stash:
Well, I didn’t realize how many polishes I owned in that color pyramid, so I’ve decided to break this down into a few epic posts! This first post is going to be more “on point” to the actual color, from light to dark. These aren’t mean to be exactly the same as the below picture, but a close approximation (whether light or dark).
Some of these swatches are from when I was first starting out, so please don’t laugh at them! (Okay, you can. I mean, I did. 😛 )
First up, Sinful Colors Cupids Arrow:
Next, Zoya Marley:
Sinful Colors Mauve:
essie full steam ahead:
Sinful Colors Purple Diamond (slightly more purple than photo):
Sinful Colors Tempest:
OPI Planks A Lot:
Part two of this epic post will include slightly darker nail polishes; part three will include the darkest polishes; part four will focus on the softer pink/purple; part five on brighter pink/purple; part six on darker pink/purple (leaning berry). Let me know in the comments if you would like me to compare colors side-by-side, and I’ll do a last post (part seven) on comparisons.
What do you think of these polishes? The one I like the best is Sinful Colors Tempest. 🙂 If you’re on pinterest, I’m pinning all the nail polishes onto a brand new board, so be sure to follow it right here. Tomorrow is another day of the 12 Days of Xmas Manis challenge & another set of Advent nails. Until then,
