Good evening everyone! I wanted to share with you all my looks from the OMD2 Nail Art Challenge in one place. If you missed any, check them out at the link below the picture.
Good morning my wonderful readers! It’s the last day of the OMD2 Nail Art Challenge, can you believe it? I just can’t believe that I’ve made it through – WOOHOO! (That’s actually my husband saying that! 😛 ) Today’s prompt was “your signature style” and at first I was stymied – do I have a signature style?! LOL. But then I thought, you know what? I think my signature style is quirky and (sometimes) complicated. After all, I did Calvin & Hobbes snowmen as part of a Christmas challenge, and nail art based off of a Ke$ha music video, and the Great Pumpkin – and a whole host of other complicated but quirky designs.
So I’ve decided to go for Phineas & Ferb! I love this show (and the music) and my kids do too.
I’ve used so many nail polishes for this art that I’m not even going to name them. I think I ended up using 12? Anyway, it’s a lot! Here are close-ups of each character.
I hope you like my nail art for today! I absolutely adore it, even though I was up until 1 a.m. this morning finishing it. 🙂 Which nail is your favorite? Mine has to be Perry – he came out perfectly (to me at least)! Don’t forget to check out all the rest of the manicures for today by clicking through to the link-up. Later today, I’ll have a wrap-up of all the manicures so if you’re interested, I’ll see you then!
Good morning lovelies! I’m so tired, I can’t even remember what day it is…ummm Happy Wednesday, right? haha! 🙂 Today’s prompt for the OMD2 Nails Challenge is “fashion inspired.” Let me show you my inspiration before I show you my nails, alright?
I really loved the colors of this look, it’s actually two separates designed by Prabal Gurung (this was in an issue of Elle from 2012) and the mix/match of patterns. I just knew I had to try my hand at creating this.
I started with one coat of Barielle Fortifying Nail Strengthener base coat on all my fingers. Then using Jessica Cosmetics Sharktooth, Lime Cooler, and Blue Aria, I tried creating part of the patterns. I loved this so much, I wanted to recreate it on my other hand but I was exhausted!
I’d love to know your thoughts on this pattern before you head over to the link-up to see more. Can you believe that tomorrow is the last day of the challenge? Crazy, right? I’ll see you then!
Good morning! It’s Tuesday morning and I’m inhaling the coffee like my life depended on it. 😛 Today’s prompt is “national pride” and I decided to go with my husband’s family background, which is part Polish. After all, what could be better for a nail polish blog than Polish nail art? haha!
I’ve used OPI Alpine Snow and OPI Over & Over A-Gwen for the national flag of Poland. I was going to do traditional Polish dress, but considering I was exhausted last night, I decided to just keep it simple.
Can you believe that there are only two more prompts in this challenge? Make sure you check out the other nail art for today by clicking here. Tomorrow’s challenge is “fashion inspired”, so I’ll talk to you then,
Good afternoon! Are you having a great one so far? I found this picture today and it totally made me laugh (click the pic for source):
Today’s prompt for the OMD2 Nail Art Challenge is “bridal.” I wanted to go with something soft and neutral, but sort of sweet.
I’ve started with a base of Verity Cappuccino (press sample), 3 coats. This is a sheer neutral polish that is incredibly shiny. To create swirls, flowers, and hearts, I’ve used: Revlon Bare Bones (light cream), Verity Soft Purple (which is pink; press sample), Verity Hot Baby Blue, and Verity Asian Jade (press sample).
I’d love to know what you think about this freehanded design, so don’t forget to comment! And check out the rest of today’s manicures at the link-up! I’ll see you tomorrow for the “national pride” prompt,
Good Sunday morning readers! Are you having a good weekend so far? We’ve just been a little lazy (with the exception of doing a bit of laundry). Today we might go to a local fiesta that’s being held in town! The prompt for today’s nail art challenge is “nautical” and that’s actually something I’ve not done before. Let’s take a look:
I’ve used Sally Hansen White On, Précision Nail Lacquer in Twinkle Toes (red) and The After After Party (blue). I also have an outdoor shot so you can see how sparkly it is:
What to do you think of this look? Twinkle Toes is such a great color – this is three thin coats and it’s opaque. Well, don’t forget to head to the link-up and see more great nautical looks! Later today I’ll have the Beauty Blog Coalition weekly roundup so until then,
It’s Saturday! Woohoo! I hope you’re having a great day so far. Today’s prompt for the OMD2 challenge is “outdoors” and I have to admit that I was a little stumped for this. I decided to do an abstract sort of manicure. Let’s take a look:
So if you didn’t know, I decided to do a beach-y abstract mani. Sinful Colors Face the Facets to represent the sun, Sinful Colors Rain Rubber to represent the ocean, and then a sandcastle with Zoya Godiva and Sinful Colors Red Tired (background with Sinful Colors Beaches and Cream). Not quite sure if I like how it turned out though!
I’d love to know your thoughts before you go check out more manis at the link-up! Until the next time,
