Hello lovelies! I can’t believe it’s the last day of the challenge. 😮 I really have enjoyed the challenge, I feel like I’ve done some really great work and I hope you think so too! 🙂 I’ll have a round-up post of my favorites later today.
For right now though, I’m going to show you the re-creation I did of Kerruticles mani for Day 28: Lines. I started off with a base of OPI Honk if You Love OPI on my index and pinky fingers, and a base of OPI My Vampire is Buff on my middle and ring fingers. Then using OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI and striping tape, I created stripes; afterwards using a striping brush I used HiYLOPI to create squares on those stripes (which you can’t really see, grr grr grr); then used MViB for lines down the center; lastly I’ve used OPI A Definite Moust-Have to create a contrast line.
I’m still working out hand poses, again let me know which one you like. 🙂 I’m happy with my re-creation, I actually did the design on both hands! I hope Claire from Kerruticles likes it, let’s take a peek at what others have done for today:
I’m all bundled up for the rest of the day – have a good start to your weekend! Until later,
Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a warm, snuggle-y morning today. 🙂 It sounds like our high for the week was last night’s 9 above. So I am hibernating in the house all week!
I cannot believe that we are on the second to the last day of the challenge. Hopefully the last day will look a lot better than today’s mani, which I’m totally calling a nail fail. I want to end with a bang and not a whimper. 😛 Haha! I started off with a base of Orly Pixy Stix (pink) on my ring finger and half of my middle finger; Orly Gumdrop (Tiffany blue) on my index finger and the other half of my middle finger; Orly Halo is on my pinky finger.
My middle finger is actually the only one that I like, as I think it came out the cleanest. Let’s look at some manis that I know are way better than this:
A side note: I just want to say thank you to everyone who has left a comment on my feedback post – you all have been so sweet and supportive, I really appreciate it. I have finally built myself a lightbox, and now I just need to get used to using the thing! I am also working on a few other things, so hold tight while I make some changes here & there. 🙂 Until the next time,
Good morning! I hope you all had a great weekend, and are ready for the week. Are you a person who jumps right into the Christmas/holiday craziness, or are you low-key? We are definitely low-key about it until Christmas actually gets here. But…my husband definitely “Griswald”s the house every year. This was how our house looked last year (he added more lights after this):
Okay, onto the actual manicure for today. I had a really, really, really hard time narrowing my favorites down to just 3; I finally picked butter LONDON All Hail the Queen, piCture pOlish cosmos, and OPI Solitaire.
I started off with 3 thin coats of AHTQ, then taped off sections and painted on cosmos.

Finally I filled in one section with Solitaire.
This might be my most favorite manicure yet from the whole challenge! What do you think? Do you like it with Solitaire or without? Click through for more awesome manicures!
Hello all! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving (if you’re in the U.S.), and you’re not out in the madness of Black Friday. LOL I did that one year, and that was enough for me.
I had a hard time coming up with a pattern for this challenge, so I fell back on dots (I know, I know, but they’re my favorite!). I’ve used Sephora by OPI Opening Night (blue), Living in Cinn-amon (red-brown), and Metro Chic (flat tan/brown).
I ended up liking this so much I left it on my nails for two days. Not a lot to most people, but that’s long for me! What are your thoughts? Click through for more fun manicures for today:
Good morning! I hope you are having a great day so far. Monday’s post should have given away what my favorite pattern is, and it is DOTTICURE! Man, I love dotticures. They are so fun and crazy but can be soooo classy too. I wanted to go off in an almost crazy direction today. It reminds me so much of the disco-era, to be honest.
Alright, enough teasers, onto the manicure! I’ve used ellagee My Sweet Romantic Teenage Nights (click here for the review of that) as a base with Milani HD for my dots.

I am freakin’ loving this! But it was so incredibly hard to capture in a photo how holograph-y and sparkly this was. So just use your imagination! LOL. I know there are some awesome manis out there, so click below:
I hope you have an awesome day before the craziness of Thanksgiving (if you’re in the U.S.). Until tomorrow,
Good morning everyone! I hope you had an awesome weekend. Ours was pretty low-key; I did get injured at church of all places (having a kneeler come down on the top of my foot isn’t fun!). I’m alright but I bruise super easy and so I’m going to be sore for awhile, I think.
Injuries aside, I have a classy manicure for you today: lines! After dotticures, I think lines are my favorite kind of manicure. I’ve used a new to me polish as a base: Spiffy Nail Polish “Also, I can kill you with my brain”, with Sinful Colors Aubergine, New Wave, Jungle Trail.
I’m really happy with how this came out! I love how lines can make your nails look incredible and long. I know you want to see more amazing manicures, so click the blue frog below!
I’ll have a review post of “Also, I can kill you with my brain” and another Spiffy Nail Polish later today. Until then,
