Good morning! Today is the last of my year round-ups and we’re talking about mainstream polishes! Let’s talk about brands, first. Of course, OPI really is my first polish brand love, so it’s going to be among my favorites; even though they didn’t release too many unique polishes, they did have some stand-outs. I also was impressed by Sinful Colors – they always have a great range of finishes, and textures in unique combinations.
Like yesterday’s post, these aren’t all necessarily polishes that were released in 2014, but they were ones I swatched and showed off in 2014. Why 16? Because I couldn’t make up my mind, darn it! Here we go….
Good morning readers! I’m continuing my 2014 favorites by showing you my favorite indie polishes. Which brands were my favorites? Pahlish, Mentality, KBShimmer, CrowsToes were among the top brands for me, personally. A newer brand that is fast gaining speed for me is Fair Maiden Polish and I can’t wait to see what they have in store next!
My top hits on the blog for indie brands were for A Girl Obsessed, Fair Maiden Polish, and ALIQUID Lacquer’s First Fantastiversary set.
These aren’t necessarily polishes released in 2014, but they are ones that I swatched this year. So without further ado…. Continue reading
Phew! What a year it has been with my nail art! I feel like I’ve definitely grown in my skills, and found my “style”: kind of quirky and offbeat, fun, and detailed! It’s funny to look at my top nail art looks (in terms of hits on the blog), because the top three aren’t even in my list below! They are: OMD2 Dotticure, OMD2 Feathers, and OMD2 Animal Print. My top pinned nail art looks were: Graduation Nail Art, Animal Print, and Jessica Cosmetics dotticure.
Okay, let’s take a look back through 2014 in nail art: Continue reading
Good morning, beautiful reader! I’m so excited to bring you the L’Oreal Dark Sides of Grey nail polish collection this morning. I spotted this at one of my Walgreen’s and over the past week, picked all of them up. Click through after the collage to see each one, and my thoughts!
Good morning everyone! Tonight starts the first night of Hanukkah, and I decided to do some nail art to celebrate.
My first manicure is just a simple striped manicure. I started off with 2 coats of Orly Mirrorball (which I’ll be showing you later this week!), then I used Star of Bombay (dark blue), and Gumdrop (light blue/Tiffany blue) with a long striper brush:
I was kind of “meh” on that, so I decided to try out another manicure! For this manicure, I started with 2 coats of Wet N Wild A Blank Canvas. Using Teal Slowly & See, I created a large dot on each nail, and drew circular lines around the dot with TS&S and Listening to Blue Reed. Lastly, I used A Blank Canvas & A Venice Day for my candles.
Please join me in showing off your Hanukkah nail art! The inlinkz are open from December 15-25, plenty of time to add your nails.
I’m also participating in the annual holiday nails blog hop hosted by The Sparkle Queen:
I’d love to know what you think of my nail art today, and if you like it, please share this post, or pin either image! Talk soon,
Good afternoon everyone! I have to apologize for my faux pas yesterday. This published yesterday and it was totally empty! haha! Because I wasn’t ready for it to go live yet, but I forgot to change the date it was to publish. Sigh. Hold onto yer hats, I have a lot of photos to show you!
Hi everyone! Having a great day so far? I’m working on it! This weekend was crazy, and I’m ready for a slow-down this morning. Today I have a lovely polish combination with CrowsToes Hellhound and Pahlish My Bespoke Psychopath. Click through to read more!
