Hey everyone! My apologies for my late review of the 6 JulieG nail polishes from the Bohemian Dreams collection. Like I explained earlier this week, I’ve got a very mobile 7 month old, a terrorizing two-year old, and 2 older kids headed back to school next week. Oh, and our family is moving to another part of town. Yikes. Anyway, my time has been limited, not enough time to sit and do swatching. So….I’ve been wearing a lot of my manis for a few days lately, including all the manis I created with this collection. Long story short, I don’t have swatches of all the polishes BUT I do have manicures with all of them. Let’s get on with it, already. LOL!
A quick application note: all these cream polishes applied like buttah. Seriously. I mean, the colors aren’t revolutionary but I am a sucker for a great cream polish and all of these fit the bill. Continue reading
Happy Monday everyone! I can’t believe August is tomorrow. Today we have an open house for the kids’ school and it’s like…holy crud, school is starting in a few weeks. Sh*t…we have how much left to do?? Ugh. So let’s distract everyone with pretty nails, mmkay? I’ve used Zoya Elphie, Olivera, and Alicia [gift] with Darling Diva Polish Fairy Pee Holo [press sample]. I’ve also used some nail studs from Crystal Parade.
Zoya Elphie is a deep forest green textured polish. This is 3 coats and no top coat. I did find that it needed that third coat to really deepen the color. Continue reading
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a good afternoon. I realized I hadn’t shown a makeup look in awhile and I had some lipsticks sent to me to try out – Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate in 40 and 41 – so let’s kill 2 birds with 1 stone here. 🙂 I’ve also used an older eyeshadow palette by Sephora tailored for green eyes.
Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate in 40 is a more yellow-leaning neutral lipstick (on me anyway). Continue reading
Happy Independence Day everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful week so far, regardless of whether you celebrate this holiday or not. Today I have some super fun drag marble nail art with Bad Bitch Polish! I’ve used the July duo, Cat of the Canals from the Wheel of Power Game of Thrones collection, and Gin and Tonic.
Ahoy and happy Monday to you! (Ahoy? Who knows, my brain is weird
sometimes a lot.) Today I have a galaxy manicure that I created with the Pearls of Wisdom nail polish collection from CrowsToes Nail Color. This was so fun to create and happened totally by accident!
So I started off with 1 coat of China Glaze Liquid Leather. (Which I don’t think I’ve ever featured by itself here on the blog but it’s just a basic black polish.) Using all the polishes in the Pearls of Wisdom collection (save one – wait for it!), I sponged them randomly over each nail. Then I sat back and went, “Wow, that looks like galaxy nails!” 😀 Continue reading
Yo ho ye land lubbers! I think I have pirate speak on the brain because of the name of this nail polish collection from CrowsToes Nail Color: the Pearls of Wisdom. Orrrr….I could just be weird. Yeah, that’s probably it. 😉 Anyway, this collection is a 6 piece collection with a bonus 7th polish when you buy the whole shebang. It includes: Triple-Double Standard, 3 Sides to Every Story, Suck It Up Buttercup, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Glass House?…drop the rock, Projection Deflection & Misdirection; the bonus polish is called The Next time You think you’re perfect Try Walking on water (TNTYTYPTWOW). Each of these polishes (other than the bonus) are in a pearlescent base that has shiftiness and added glitter.
For my full 4-finger swatches, I’m showing each polish over black (sponged & painted – you’ll see). You’ll also get to see a macro collage of each polish by itself, over black, and over white. Overall, the formula on them was a little hard to get even over another color (hence why I sponged over black), but Madame Crow has tweaked the polishes’ formula to make sure they are at their absolute best!
