Hello, everyone, if we haven’t met, I’m Judy, from BeautyJudy! I’m thrilled to guest post here on Be Happy And Buy Polish today – Jessica has an awesome space on these inter webs to celebrate beauty and I drool over her nail swatches on the regular. Thank you for letting me crash the party, Jessica!
I thought it’d be fitting to drop in with a quick review of a hand cream, since it’s winter. I don’t know about you, but I love keeping my hands moisturized so that when I wear all my pretty polish and nail art, my dry and cracked hands aren’t a distraction!
While browsing the aisles at Ulta, I found a section of Tony Moly products, all made with banana. I picked up a couple, including today’s product, Magic Food Banana Hand Milk. Its key ingredients include banana extract and milk protein. Continue reading
Hey there! Serene here from Copycat Claws. When I heard Jessica was having a baby and might need some blogging help, I jumped at the chance to help out. Jessica has always been such a wonderful member of the nail blogging community that I definitely wanted to lend a hand.
For those of you who don’t know me, my little sister named my blog for me when I first started getting into nail art. It seemed I was always finding inspiration in random places (i.e. copying) and my nail art for my guest post today is no exception. Does your town have Paint Nite’s, events where people get to hang out together, usually at a bar or restaurant, and try their hand at painting? I’ve done a couple and they’re a blast (even if I don’t have much artistic ability…hence I’m a big time stamper). Sometimes I just check out their website and look at the paintings which is what happened here. I saw an awesome neon snowflake painting that I wanted to try to get onto my nails.
To do these I started with a white base and then did a fan brush gradient with pipe dream polish Masquerade, Harlequin and Celebration. I don’t know why I don’t use the fan brush more often. It’s easy and quick and I always love the effect.
The stamping was done with Mundo de Unas White and UberChic Beauty Christmas 01. See, sometimes holiday plates can definitely be useful at times other than the actual holidays!
I’m not even sure what season this mani fits into. It’s neon like summer but covered in snowflakes. Maybe we all just need a bit of summer thrown into our winter but never the other way around. I hate snow in summer. There’s no month of the year here that is safe from snow. After all, I am Canadian…
Thank you to Jessica for letting me hang out and congrats on the newest addition to your family. I’ve always been in awe of the moms who blog. I can barely keep up without babies so kudos to those who can do it with munchkins!
And thanks to the rest of you for checking out my guest post on Jessica’s amazing blog. If you’re interested in seeing more of my nail adventures, you can follow me on Bloglovin’
‘Til next time…
Hello, Be Happy and Buy Polish readers! I’m Stacie from wacie.com and I’m your guest poster today. I have a black and silver skittle mani that I hope you’ll like. For this look, I used Digital Nails‘s Pandorica (black holo) and Wow (silver holo), Sally Hansen’s Black Out (black creme), OPI’s Push and Shove (silver foil), and Indigo Bananas‘s Moonlight (Clair de Lune) (silver flakies). I used top coat on every nail but the middle one. All photos were taken in direct sunlight.
Hello my fantastic readers! Today I have the February Birthstone duo from Bad Bitch Polish to show you: Awesome Amethyst and Amethyst Andromeda.
Awesome Amethyst is a purple jelly polish with glitters of blue, purple, and UCC flakies.
Formula had a good thickness. I could have done 2 coats but I wanted the depth of 3 coats. This is 3 coats plus top coat.
Amethyst Andromeda is a grape purple holographic with a golden sheen.
I had good opacity on the 1st coat. Formula was a little thin but not bad overall (no flooding). It is insanely shiny without top coat. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
I’m so excited that Bad Bitch Polish is creating birthstone duos – to tell the truth I can’t wait until my birthstone month (September!). This duo launches TODAY, January 31. They will be $9.50 each or $18 for the duo at Bad Bitch Polish.
Good morning all! Over the next few Mondays, I’m going to have guest posts from some helpful bloggers. I hope you enjoy reading these fantastic posts. Today you get to hear from my friend Jenne at Polished Pathology!
Top Shelf Lacquer Shower Bombs – Purchased By Me
Today I have a great new product to share with you from Top Shelf Lacquer, the Top Shelf Lacquer Shower Bombs! The new year brought in a bout of pneumonia that I’ve been slowly recovering from, and when I saw her come out with these I snapped up two packs. They are so great — and I’ll give you my review after the photos!
Happy day to you all! I hope you had a great weekend. Today I have some nail polish swatches and layering to show you with SuperMoon Lacquer Mystic Mountain, ILNP Phoenix, and Bad Bitch Polish Dripping Icicles [press sample, previously swatched].
(Hey all, from here on out for a while, posts are scheduled ahead of time because Henry is here! If you want to see a picture, here ya go: https://www.instagram.com/p/BPTtw5KA5fb/ )
I started off with SuperMoon Lacquer Mystic Mountain, which I received in a swap with another blogger. This is a multi chrome polish that shifts from blue to purple to green. The green was much more alive & glowy in person.
Hi everyone! I’m not sure I’ll have the energy or time to figure out my favorite nail polishes I showed you in 2016. If I can stick to picking one or two from each month that might work but I’m kinda indecisive! I thought I could narrow down my favorite nail art looks on the blog in 2016 to show you though. 🙂
Let’s start in February with this look featuring Pahlish and Arcane Lacquer. Continue reading
