I’ve been in love with this veil nail look and of course I had to try it out again after the last veil nail look (and I’ll have another to show you on Friday!). I found the original tutorial by perfect10customnails, if you’d like to try this out for yourself.
For this first set of photos, this is right after I finished all the nails but before I applied matte top coat or the magnet. You can really see how textured this ends up without any top coat. It also looks really cool without even applying the magnet!
So here I’ve applied matte top coat and used the magnet on each nail. I should have pressed the veils down more, the nails ended up way bumpier than I would have preferred. Diva Royale also blended too much in with the base color, so it ended up almost disappearing.
I really liked it with matte top coat but I freaking love it with shiny top coat. It’s hard to capture the magnetic shift but it’s there! And a few of the nails, I doubled the veil look, did you notice? Instead of just doing one drop of polish, I did one drop and then another of a different polish (like how you’d start a watermarble look).
