Afternoon everyone! Just a quick and simple makeup look today. I was up at 4:30 (thanks baby) so I could take a shower and get ready for the day before hubby had to go to work. He doesn’t usually work Sundays but he had to today. Yuk! I’m currently waiting on pins and needles for him to get home.
Today I’ve used the Nyx Cosmetics Happy Birthday eyeshadow palette that was my birthday gift from Ulta. I’ve used this palette multiple times and it’s usually my go-to when I travel!
My swatches are showing just a bit off, especially the pinkish lid color. It’s more pink than peach/orange.
Even though I didn’t really do my eyeliner like I usually do, I quite like how this turned out! Especially for waking up and getting moving way earlier than I usually do. I mean, I wake up at 6 usually just so I can sit with coffee and peace & quiet but being woken up at 4:30 and not being able to go back to sleep is just a tad too early. And now that I’m sitting here this afternoon, I’m so ready for bed!
I’m using Wet N Wild’s new MegaCushion foundation today and the jury is still out on whether I like it. It applies nicely and I think it matches my skin tone nicely but I’m not sure about application or how it makes my skin look. I really should do an in-depth review soon of the foundations I’ve bought lately.
So my sister taught me a trick this past weekend that to make smiles more natural in pictures to put your tongue to the roof of your mouth when you smile for a picture. I think it worked? I feel like my smile doesn’t look as forced. Do you have any photography tricks for taking the best selfies? Do tell!
