Yo ho ye land lubbers! I think I have pirate speak on the brain because of the name of this nail polish collection from CrowsToes Nail Color: the Pearls of Wisdom. Orrrr….I could just be weird. Yeah, that’s probably it. 😉 Anyway, this collection is a 6 piece collection with a bonus 7th polish when you buy the whole shebang.  It includes: Triple-Double Standard, 3 Sides to Every Story, Suck It Up Buttercup, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Glass House?…drop the rock, Projection Deflection & Misdirection; the bonus polish is called The Next time You think you’re perfect Try Walking on water (TNTYTYPTWOW). Each of these polishes (other than the bonus) are in a pearlescent base that has shiftiness and added glitter.

For my full 4-finger swatches, I’m showing each polish over black (sponged & painted – you’ll see). You’ll also get to see a macro collage of each polish by itself, over black, and over white. Overall, the formula on them was a little hard to get even over another color (hence why I sponged over black), but Madame Crow has tweaked the polishes’ formula to make sure they are at their absolute best!

First up is Triple-Double Standard, “a white based pearly purple to green shifter with contrasting shimmer and a bit of micro holo glitter on top.” Shown above is 3 coats plus top coat by itself (upper left), 2 coats over black plus top coat (bottom left), 1 coat over white plus top coat (bottom right).

I’ve sponged it over black above, the accent nail is the same as above in the combo photo. I mostly see purple with the blue bits when it’s sponged, but the green comes out when painted over.

3 Sides to Every Story is “an off white/white based light pearly green to aqua shifter also with contrasting shimmer and holo micro glitters.” Above left is 3 coats plus top coat by itself; bottom left is 1 coat over black plus top coat; bottom right is 1 coat over white plus top coat.

I’ve sponged over black with the accent nail shown as painted over black. By itself, it really has an inner glow but over black, it reminds me of an ocean that shifts from blue to deep blue to green with each wave. It also as a hint of pink in there too!

Suck It Up Buttercup is “a white based pearly red to gold shifter topped with micro holo glitter and contrasting shimmer.” Above left is 2 coats plus top coat by itself; bottom left is 1 coat over black plus top coat; bottom right is 1 coat over white plus top coat.

This is sponged over black with accent nail painted over black. This is by far my favorite – the play of red and green and red-brown is seriously so so pretty.

Everybody Wants to Rule the World, “a white based pearly green to peach shifter with contrasting shimmer topped with micro holo.” Above left is 2 coats plus top coat by itself; bottom left is 1 coat over black plus top coat; bottom right is 1 coat over white plus top coat.

Sponged over black with accent nail painted over black. I adore this one so much because it looks like flowers in a field! ❤

Glass House?…drop the rock, “a bright white based pearly aqua blue to a bright denim blue also with contrasting shimmer and micro holo glitters.” Above left is 3 coats plus top coat by itself; bottom left is 1 coat over black plus top coat; bottom right is 1 coat over white plus top coat.

Sponged over black with accent nail painted over black. By itself, it has that inner glow that is gorgeous! The play of blue to purple is really strong with this one.

Projection, Deflection, & Misdirection, “a white based dusty pearly lavender to an almost red shifter with contrasting shimmers and holo micro glitters.” Above left is 3 coats plus top coat by itself; bottom left is 1 coat over black plus top coat; bottom right is 1 coat over white plus top coat.

Sponged over black with accent nail painted over black. This one is strongly purple with a red shimmer that reminds me of a sunset or even a galaxy!

And the bonus polish which is free when buying the whole collection, or you can purchase separately: The Next time You think you’re Perfect, Try Walking On Water. This is a clear-base glitter topper with holographic glitters and blue flakes. This is 1 coat plus top coat over black.

Okay, super long post, I know! But I couldn’t help but show you all the ways to use the pretties. Bonus: I inadvertently created a galaxy mani with all 7 polishes that I will show you this coming week. Again, my favorites are Suck It Up Buttercup (a favorite phrase in my household, btw 😛 ) and Everybody Wants to Rule the World (anyone else sing that song when reading that? No, just me?).
