I’ve never featured today’s brand on the blog before, which I suppose shouldn’t be that shocking to me – I mean, there’s loads of mainstream brands I’ve never shown on the blog. But somehow when I come across a brand that hasn’t been on the blog, it’s always a surprise. Today I’m showing you Pacifica Fantasea and Abalone.
Fantasea is a bright blue creme polish. Formula was thin; application was slightly uneven. This was almost a One-Coat Wonder. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
Abalone is a metallic nail polish that shifts from purple to blue to grey to teal. So pretty in the bottle and on the nail!
My notes literally say: “Holy sheer, Batman!” So…yeah. That wasn’t good. It’s also so thin, it runs away from you and floods your whole nail. Also not good. Annndd it’s super brushstrokey. This is 3 coats and no top coat.
Gosh, I wanted to love Abalone so bad. It is exquisite! But all those negatives end up making it a “no” from me. What do you think? Worth it, or not?
Nice swatches of both colors. Its too bad Abalone didn’t have a good formula, the color is nice.
Considering Abalone looks a lot like OPI Peace & Love & OPI as well as Essie For the Twill of It, you would think they would have tried harder with the formula!
Fantasea is GORGEOUS though, might have to grab that one!
Abalone is freakin’ MAGIC from a mainstream… but yeah, not worth the lousy formula when we have indies!
