Hi all! Though most of my posts from here on out are scheduled post – because I don’t know when this baby is coming! – I had to show you this new nail polish collection from Sinful Colors and Kandee Johnson. From what I understand,
there are 12 colors (so far) in this collection (read below for an update), I picked up this set of 7 and will bring you the rest after I find them! So let’s take a look at Whipped Frosting, Strawberry Milk, Pin Up Pink, Pink Velvet, Mint Chip, Candy Hearts, and Kanfetti.
Through the Sinfully Polished Nails fb group, this Popsugar article was linked which states: “Kandee teamed up with SinfulColors … to release a 24-piece collection. There are two lines, Pretty Vintage (featuring matte and “sugar” textures) and Vintage Anime. Everything launches this month for a limited time through April at drugstores like Walgreens and Walmart, for $2-$3 per bottle.” So right now there are at least 10 shades (that I know of) released, and we can expect 14 more. So you can expect me to blog about the polishes as I find them.
I’ll be showing each of these (except Candy Hearts) in their natural matte (or textured) state and also with top coat.
Whipped Frosting is a warm white matte polish with golden shimmer. The golden shimmer is really imperceptible on the nail though.
Formula is thick and uneven. This is 2 coats.
Strawberry Milk is a pale warm pink matte polish with golden shimmer. But again, the shimmer goes bye bye on the nail.
Formula is of thinner consistency than Whipped Frosting but still fairly thick and uneven. This is 2 coats.
Pin Up Pink is a bright pink matte polish with golden shimmer. But hooray for shimmer that shows up!
Formula was of better consistency than the previous two, and went on fairly evenly. This was almost a OCW (one coat wonder). This is 2 coats.
Pink Velvet is a bright pink textured polish with golden shimmer – shimmer that you can see! Formula was good, and it applied nicely. This is 2 coats.
Mint Chip is a bright minty green – even brighter and more green than my photos could capture.
Formula was a little thick and uneven (not as bad as Whipped Frosting though!). This is 2 coats.
Candy Hearts is a bright candy blue with no shimmer (hidden or not!). Formula was thin and floody and it did stain my nails. This is 2 coats.
Last is the glitter topper, Kanfetti. This is a clear based topper with glitters of yellow, blue, light pink, green, and iridescent. Shown above 1 coat over Strawberry Milk
Formula was a little base thick. This is 1 coat over Pink Velvet.
So my picks are Pin Up Pink, Pink Velvet, Mint Chip, and Kanfetti. The other ones just had such a tricky formula that they aren’t worth keeping. And are you as surprised as I am that I like a Sinful Colors glitter?? I know, right?? haha! 😛 Let me know what you think of this collection so far.
