Good morning, my wonderful readers! Today I have a manicure that I was really happy with – I almost thought it looked like stamping, even though I achieved it using nail vinyl stencils. I’ve used Formula X Orbit and Vroom, and Baroness X Vulcan (fb group custom).
Orbit is a deep blue tinged green creme polish (it’s a bit more green than my photo shows). Formula on this, unfortunately, was no bueno. It was super thin and floody. 😦 This is 2 coats and no top coat.
Over this, I used 1 coat of Vulcan plus top coat. Vulcan is a fb group custom for The X Army (Baroness X fan group). It is made with that magical unicorn pee pigment. It’s a blue base, obviously, that shifts from red to purple to green to brown.
Over this, I placed nail stencils in this fun 60s circular pattern, then painted over with Vroom. Vroom is a metallic pink brown polish. Just in the little bit I used it, it dries super fast so if you use this in a full mani, work quickly! In the above macro, you can see that unicorn pee pigment working its magic.
Of course, I just had to show you more of that beautiful shiftiness! Even though at first glance, it seems like a more “simple” mani, I love that Vulcan gives it a bit more oomph. And tomorrow, I’m going to show you more of the beautiful Vulcan over Orbit – I just had too many photos to show you for this one post!
Really cool looking nail art you created!
I still can’t get over that Baroness X polish! It is so pretty!
