Morning all! I created this manicure awhile back and I just was never happy with how it turned out, hence my hesitation in showing it to you. Sometimes what’s in my head doesn’t match what ends up on my nails and it’s super disappointing. Let’s take a look at this manicure with Ever After 2 Peace In a Pod, Baroness X Dioscouri, Baroness X Glass Beach, and Top Shelf Lacquer Sarasota Lemonade.
I started off with Ever After 2 Peace In a Pod on all fingers except my thumb and ring finger. This polish was created to mimic the ever-sought after YSL Peace Green. I had quite a bit of trouble with the formula on this one, it was uneven and got thicker as I was applying it. This is 3 coats and no top coat.
On my thumb and ring finger, I used Baroness X Glass Beach, a silver holographic polish with specks of blue, green, and brown. Formula on this was smooth. This is 3 coats plus top coat.
I was trying to make myself like 2 Peace In a Pod more, so I added one coat of Baroness X Dioscouri on top. Dioscouri is a pearl based topper with aqua flakes. I actually was thinking to sell this when I decided to use it instead and I’m so glad I used it because I love it!
In a last ditch effort to salvage this mani, I grabbed some raindrop vinyls and Top Shelf Lacquer Sarasota Lemonade. Sarasota Lemonade was created for the Hella Holo Customs group and I never got around to using it.
Sarasota Lemonade is a kind of dusty holographic red with pink shiftiness to it. It’s actually a really lovely polish!
All in all, though I liked individual parts of this manicure, as a whole it didn’t feel quite ‘right’. What are your thoughts?
It looks great! 🙂
