Hi everyone! December already? Geesh. I’m not ready for this! Like, seriously, I’m supposed to be having a baby next month? hahahahahaha! Yeah, can I postpone that until I’m ready? 😛 Okay, anyway, I have a literal box full of mainstream brands that are untried so I decided to just sit down the other day and swatch a bunch of China Glazes: Spontaneous, Stroll, Lasso My Heart, Strike Up a Cosmo, Bogie, and Urban Night.
Spontaneous is a bright violet creme polish, a bit more dusty than my photo shows. Formula is watery and thin, though I did have nice coverage in 2 coats. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
Stroll is a maroon red jelly with specks of pink and gold. Formula on this was thin and fairly sheer. It does dry dull. This is 3 coats plus top coat.
Lasso My Heart is a mauve based shimmer polish with golden shimmer. Wowee, this is gorgeous! Formula was watery and thin, and brush-strokey. It does dry dull. This is 3 coats plus top coat.
Strike Up a Cosmo is a pink metallic polish with silver shimmer and gold specks. Formula was pretty good! It dries fast and has a good thickness, plus it has good first coat coverage. It does dry dull. This is 2 coats plus top coat.
Bogie is a deep purple shot through with silver. Formula is thin and but has good first coat coverage. You have to work fast because it dries real fast! It does dry dull. This is 2 coats plus top coat.
Urban Night is a beautiful royal purple creme polish. Formula is slightly thin but not as bad as some of the others. First coat was jelly-ish feeling, but I had nice coverage in 2 coats. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
Favorites here? Definitely Lasso My Heart and Bogie, and I’d probably add in Strike Up a Cosmo too. What’s your favorite?
