Last Saturday I showed you part of this manicure in my Quick Dry Top Coat Showdown post, so why I don’t go more in-depth with this beautiful layered manicure with China Glaze Midtown Magic, Baroness X Opulent Oddity and Baroness X Dulcinea?
I started off with 2 coats and no top coat of China Glaze Midtown Magic. Oomph! Midtown Magic is a dark brown base with gold and pink flecks. I love old-school polishes and this China Glaze is no exception. It does have a thin formula though (not surprising!).
After I used this, I layered 1 coat of Baroness X Opulent Oddity over it (no top coat). Opulent Oddity is an iridescent glitter that shifts in 2 shades in a clear base.
Opulent Oddity is a little thick and it does dry bumpy.
Lastly, I layered 1 coat of Baroness X Dulcinea on top plus top coat. Dulcinea [previously swatched + reviewed] is a violet based jelly polish with red to green pigment and iridescent flakies.
Dulcinea has a smooth formula, no complaints!
Though this was kind of a lot of layers for me, I really enjoying playing with the light and this manicure – it’s so fun when a manicure just makes me smile! Let me know what you think!
Such a pretty layering combination you created here!
Holy crap! I love the completed look with all of the layers! I understand you don’t usually use that many layers but holy snap! So gorgeous!
