Good morning everyone! I feel like it’s been forever and a day since I’ve blogged. I have an update for you at the end of this post if you feel like knowing what’s been going on BUT FIRST let’s take a look at Celestial Cosmetics Chocolate River.
Chocolate River is a chocolate brown holographic polish, with a slight purple flash to the holo.
This is 3 coats plus top coat. The formula was fairly thin and the polish was more sheer than I thought it was going to be.
What’s been going on in my life? Frankly, this summer was a hot, anxiety-filled mess. Besides being pregnant (which is stressful in and of itself) and feeling like crap 90% of the time, my daughter is going through some mental health issues, my toddler is…well, a toddler and into everything, and even my happy-go-lucky middle child was feeling the stress. Added to this, we will be moving before baby comes to a bigger house and I have no idea on where to even start!
So I needed (need to?) take a step back from blogging. I painted my nails for myself and stopped feeling like I needed to swatch everything and photograph it for the blog. I painted my nails – or not. I just enjoyed having pretty nails for the sake of having pretty nails.
My kids started school last week and I’ve just been taking the time to enjoy the toddler before the baby gets here. It’s been nice to just relax and not feel stressed about having something up on the blog. I’m still trying to take it easy, and though I want to get back to blogging on a regular basis, I need to be realistic. That means blogging when I want to – or not. Showing off pretty polishes and pretty nail art because I’m excited about it – not because I’m feeling like I need to keep my nose to the grindstone and compete with other bloggers. That need to compete has really kept me from feeling like blogging, tbh.
At any rate – will you be seeing me more often than once a month? Yes. I’m not going to promise a M, W, F schedule or even a T, Th schedule. I am going to try to blog at least once a week.
I hope all of you are well and have had a wonderful summer. All the best to you! ❤
Sounds like you have your priorities straight mama! Take care and enjoy what’s left of summer with your kids.
Beautiful!
