Morning all! I’ve been trying really hard to get some photos edited and posts typed up, but obviously you can see how well that went. But I made it for today! I’m back with my Pick Three Polishes series where I randomly pick three untried polishes out of my stash, swatch them and then attempt to make nail art with them. For today’s post I’ve used Daisy Island Oasis (a gift from Michelle at Manic Talons!), Formula X Voodoo, and ILNP Home Sweet Home.
Daisy (brand name) Island Oasis is a beautiful bright teal green. It isn’t as bright as my photos show, but I took about 50 pictures and gave up trying to get color accuracy, tbh. LOL. ๐ This is 2 coats plus top coat but it’s almost a OCW.
Formula X Voodoo is a metallic pink holographic polish. The holographic effect is more noticeable in real life, even inside.
Formula was good, it dries fast and then can be a bit draggy. This is 2 coats and no top coat.
ILNP Home Sweet Home is a lavender holographic polish.
Formula was more sheer than I thought it was going to be. This is 3 thin coats plus top coat.
So for nail art, I wanted to do some negative space nail art but it really didn’t turn out like I wanted. I’m not sure what I was going for! ๐
You can see in the above photo that Voodoo’s holographic flame is more noticeable not in the direct light of my lightbulbs. Anyway, sometimes nail art works out and sometimes it doesn’t. Just the way the cookie crumbles, I guess!
Let me know what you think in the comments!
Great swatches of each color and nail art you created with them. I’m in love with that ILNP one.
You have three gorgeous polishes this time around!
