le Polish Ex-Women Nail Polish Collection swatches + review

Press Sample buttonHi everyone! I have a new nail polish collection from le Polish to show you today, called the Ex-Women collection. As the maker describes it: “The Ex-Women Collection alleviates your curiosity about what it would be like to date the women of the X-men. Although gorgeous, the only place you’ll want these crazy exes is on your nails!” This collection releases June 24 at noon EST at the le Polish site. Each is available for $10 (full size) or $6 (mini size) each; full size sets will be $47.50 (plus shipping), mini sets will be $28.75 (plus shipping).

I did have issues with the mini bottles, but in general I find mini bottles hard to work with. I’ll note below which ones I did have troubles with. I do have le Polish full size bottles and I love them, so I do think my issues are with the bottles and not with the actual formula of the polishes. But I want you to be aware of what I experienced.

le polish Violent Tempest | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Violent Tempest is based on the character Storm. This has a white base with blue shimmer and blue flakies (not the same blues) and scattered holographic. This is 3 coats plus top coat here. I did have issues with this – again this is probably due to the mini bottle size. I found it uneven. It does dry matte.

le polish Fiery Hothead | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Fiery Hothead (my personal favorite) is based on Phoenix. This has a burnt red base with orange, red, and gold glitters.

This is 3 coats plus top coat. I also had formula issues with this, as I found it to be uneven. But I had no issues getting the glitters out. It does dry matte.

Emotional User is based on Rogue. This is an olive green with green shimmer and teal flakies with scattered holographic.

This is 3 coats plus top coat. I had no formula issues here. It also dries matte.

le polish Psychological Manipulator | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Psychological Manipulator is based on Psylocke. This is a violet base with red shimmer and flakies. My photos show it more neon than it actually is in person.

This is 3 coats plus top coat. I did find it dragged a bit between coats. Just make sure to let each coat dry well. It does also dry matte.

I absolutely love that this is such a unique collection! Each polish is so well-thought out, and it’s so nice to see makers really take the time to match a polish to its inspiration.  You can follow the maker on instagram, Facebook, and pinterest; make sure to join the Facebook group to be kept in the loop with all upcoming releases!
