Hi everyone! I’ve had this post sitting in the vault for some time, so it’s about time I dusted it off and showed you these two polishes from Doctor Lacquer: Betelgeuse and Apatite.
Betelgeuse is a tri-color thermal flakie polish. It is described by the maker as “reddish-gold flakes with a jelly base that transitions from a deep red at its coldest, red when cold, and light pink when warm.” (Why yes, I did buy this just for the name.) Shown above in its natural state and below after being dunked in ice cold water.
This is 3 thin coats plus top coat. Formula was good, no complaints. I wish I would have been able to capture all three states of it. 😦
Apatite is a blue-green base polish with golden micro-flakes and scattered holographic particles.
This is 3 thin coats plus top coat. Formula was also good – I wrote in my notes “Goldilocks” which means for me it wasn’t too thin nor too thick.
Doctor Lacquer just returned this week with new stock, so be sure to check them out!
Both are just great shades!
Apatite is stunning! I love blues with golden shimmers.
Apatite is so gorgeous!
