Hi all! My apologies for the sporadic posting lately, I’ve been in a funk and I’m trying to pull myself out of it. I did pick up the Wet N Wild Spring Into the Wild nail polishes the other day. I don’t technically count this as breaking my no-buy because after swatching them, I gifted them all to my friend Nichole over at Bedlam Beauty. 🙂 At the end of this post, I’ll be comparing these to 4 of the polishes from last year’s Wet N Wild Silver Lake collection [previously swatched].
First is Love Fest, a saturated baby pink creme. This is 2 coats and no top coat. It self-leveled beautifully!
Next is Kiss My Mints, a blue-toned minty creme. This is 2 coats and no top coat, and it also self-leveled nicely.
Breeze on By is next, a sky blue creme. This is 2 coats and no top coat, and also mostly self-leveled (you can see my index finger was having none of that).
Last is Lay Out in Lavender, a greyed out warm lilac creme. This is 2 coats and no top coat. It didn’t have the best formula.
Love Fest compared to last year’s Stream of Consciousness (3 coats). No dupes here, SoC is much more sheer and has shimmer in it. Love Fest is my pick.
Kiss My Mints compared to last year’s Tree Hugger (2 coats) compared to last year’s summer Green Tease (2 coats). Kiss My Mints is so blue-toned! Tree Hugger and Green Tease are practically dupes. Kiss My Mints and Tree Hugger are my picks.
Breeze on By compared to last year’s Wear Skinny Jeans (2 coats). This is a close one but Wear Skinny Jeans has invisible shimmer compared to BoB being a flat creme. Formula is better on Breeze on By, so that’s my pick.
Lay Out in Lavender compared to last year’s Reject the Mainstream (2 coats). RtM is warmer than LOiL and also has the better formula, so stick with it.
I hope this post was helpful for you, please share it if it was! For those of you who follow me on snapchat (username bhappybuypolish), you were able to see this almost live. I’ll be doing more of these kind of comparisons (almost) live on my snapchat, so be sure to join me there.
