Top Shelf Lacquer Blackberry Margarita + Firecracker Lacquer Grape Beyond reciprocal gradient nail art

Purchased by Me buttonHi everyone! I’m digging this post out of the archives – I just realized I never shared my first attempt at reciprocal gradients with you. I used Firecracker Lacquer The Grape Beyond and Top Shelf Lacquer Blackberry Margarita for this nail art.

I started off with The Grape Beyond [swatched previously]. I then created a gradient with Blackberry Margarita.

Then using straight line nail vinyls, I created a plaid pattern and did the gradient the opposite way.

It didn’t come out too bad, though my husband remarked “I don’t really see anything special.” Grr!

Here’s Top Shelf Lacquer Blackberry Margarita by itself. It’s described as a “rich navy linear holo jelly with an prominent flair that glistens fabulously.”

Formula was pretty good! This is 2 coats plus top coat.

Both these polishes are still in stock – The Grape Beyond here and Blackberry Margarita here – if you want to try your hand at this!
