Good afternoon all! I just realized today that I’d never shared with you one of the latest Hella Holo Customs nail polishes that I bought, this one is from Vapid Lacquer called Spellcaster. Although it isn’t available anymore, and it’s seriously sought after, I just love this polish so much I have to show you! Warning: Lots of pictures ahead!
Spellcaster is a witchy shifty polish that starts off with a pretty base of purple and shifty flakies. Shown here in my lightbox, it seems fairly standard.
Outside, it is a strong linear holographic and you can see purple shimmer come through.
Step into the shade and you see a deep purple polish with flakes.
It’s when you start playing and moving your fingers around that you start to see the true beauty of this polish.
I haven’t had any Vapid Lacquers in a long time, but I’m happy to report that I had no issues, formula wise, with this polish. I used 3 thin coats for my photos and one coat of top coat.
These two photos were taken under my under-cabinet kitchen light. There was this really lovely vibrant green that I couldn’t quite capture, though one of the above photos comes close!
I’m kinda sorry to show you a polish you can’t buy any more, but knowing your love and mine for polish, I just couldn’t stop myself! Though it isn’t available anymore, you still should join the Hella Holo Customs secret group on Facebook. If you send an email to email@example.com with your Facebook name, you can request to join. 🙂
Were you able to snag this polish when it was available?
