Hi everyone! Did you have a breathtaking weekend? How about a “just okay” weekend? 😉 Awhile back, I teased you on my Facebook page with a bottle comparison shot of OPI I Lily Love You and Sinful Colors Pink Ansen:
As you can see from just the bottle shots, I Lily Love You has more of a blue-toned pink base and Pink Ansen has more of a red-toned pink base. Besides that, ILLY has more visible shreds of iridescent glitter, while in PA you see more round and bar glitters. Let’s compare these two polishes on the nail and see if they are dupes or not!
I’ve used 1 coat of both polishes over Sally Hansen Fruttie Petutie (swatched previously). Pink Ansen is on the left, ILLY is on the right. As you can see in the lightbox photo above, PA is more sparse on the nail and the glitters are a purplish iridescent color. ILLY has shreds of pink gold glitter plus purplish iridescent glitters.
In the sun photo above, you can see what a difference those gold shred glitters make!
In this shade photo is where the polishes look the most similar (color-wise).
I would NOT feel comfortable in calling Pink Ansen a dupe for I Lily Love You – especially if you’re a hardcore OPI collector, you’re going to want ILLY for your collection. While Pink Ansen is pretty on its own, it is just too different, in my opinion.
Do you own either of these polishes? Which one is your favorite?
