Good Thursday morning, lacquer lovers! Every day this week, I’ve thought it was Thursday. Consequently, this week has felt like it’s been dragging! Do you ever have weeks like that? I just must have been excited to show you this four-polish collection from Scofflaw Nail Varnish all week. 😉
These polishes were a limited edition run for spring. I’ll just say that getting color accurate pictures were so.frakkin.hard but I tried my best! All photos shown with three thin coats plus top coat.
First is Pink Elephants on Parade. This is described as “a bright watermelon polish with copper shimmer, flakes, and glitters in various sizes of copper and magenta.”
Yes, I could not stop singing this song from “Dumbo” while I was applying this polish.
Next is Geriatric Lolita, described as “a neon coral polish with green highlights and shimmer.”
My google-fu skills are not helping me here so I have no idea what the name of this polish references. It does make me chuckle though!
Subterranean Homesick Alien is “an electric blue shimmer polish, with small glitters and flecks in pink, gold, and violet and with a touch of holo.”
The title is from a Radiohead song, though I had to google that. LOL. (Sorry, not a Radiohead fan.)
Last is Hack the Planet!, a “neon green crelly with glitters in black and various pastels, packed with a yellow shimmer.” I had the most trouble getting color-accuracy with this polish – it is more warm-toned in real life.
I’ve got to say that I love this for the name alone because I love the movie “Hackers”. Yes, it’s a dated and dorky movie. But I love it. LOL!
Why do I rush out and buy Scofflaw polishes every time she re-stocks or does limited editions? It’s because of truly unique polishes like this set. Even if I’m not sure I’ll love the polish, I’ll buy it anyway (hello, yes, I’m an addict). My favorite of this set has to be Subterranean Homesick Alien, just because I’m really digging bright blues lately.
I’d love to hear what you think of these polishes!
