CoverGirl The Super Sizer by LashBlast mascara + Intensify Me! Liquid Eyeliner review

Press Sample buttonGood morning everyone! I haven’t done a beauty look or review in forever, so today I wanted to share my thoughts about CoverGirl’s new Super Sizer by LashBlast mascara and Intensify Me! Liquid Eyeliner.

The Super Sizer by LashBlast mascara is supposed to give “you 400% more corner-to-corner volume for full, fanned out lashes.”

CoverGirl claims that their “amazing Lash Styler transforms even small lashes” – all you have to do is  “just twirl as you apply it to your lashes for an instantly Super Sized lash look.”

CoverGirl’s Intensify Me! Liquid Eyeliner is to give you “the control of a pencil with the intensity of a liquid eyeliner for beautifully defined eyes every time.”

This eyeliner has an “all-new paddle-shaped tip gives you two looks in one—thick and dramatic or thin and elegant.” CoverGirl says that “the intense black formula glides on smoothly and dries quickly for instant drama.”

The top line is the thick part of the eyeliner, the next line is the thin part of the eyeliner, and the bottom is the mascara (just to show you the color since it didn’t want to swatch well).

In my opinion, the mascara isn’t worth buying. I found that it clumped fairly easy and actually made my lashes stick together – so much so that the second time I used this, I ended up redoing my whole left eye because my lashes were all together! It was very frustrating.

The eyeliner is definitely worth buying…but when CoverGirl says that it dries quickly, they sure do mean it! There is no dawdling here if you are filling in your wing, or if you make a mistake.

How about removal? I found that while the eyeliner came off fairly easily with eye makeup remover, the mascara really did not want to budge. I did need a bit more “scrubbing” to get it off.

Both of these products should be starting to come out in stores soon and will vary in price (CoverGirl’s website states $6.85 for the mascara and $8 for the eyeliner). Color options are limited – the mascara comes in black brown, black, and very black, while the eyeliner comes only in black (as of now).

I’d love to know what your thoughts are on these products, or if you’ve had a chance to pick either of them up! I’ll be back later this afternoon with some nail polish, so I’ll see you then,

  1. So funny, I felt just the opposite. I got MUCH better coverage from the mascara than you did. This mascara has replaced my YSL Mascara! Must be a quality control problem. And I’m sure it’s a perfectly good liner, I’m just not a liquid liner fan.

  2. Bummer about the mascara but that eyeliner is definitely on my wishlist. I’ve heard such great things about that applicator.

  3. The extra end on the liner looks interesting and I love that it dries so quickly, but boo on the mascara! I’ve never really loved ay of the CG mascaras, but I’m using the waterproof version of their Full Lash Bloom and quite like it.
