Pahlish Tissue Paper Flowers + Confetti Cannon (March Duo) swatches + review

Purchased by Me buttonHello, my fantastic readers! I’m currently teaching myself how to French braid and Dutch braid, and while I have the French braid down okay, I cannot get the hang of the Dutch braid! Kind of frustrating since I keep pinning all these cool hairdos to my curly hair board on pinterest.

Anyway, today I have the March duo from Pahlish to show you: Tissue Paper Flowers and Confetti Cannon.

Pahlish Tissue Paper Flowers | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Tissue Paper Flowers is a white based creme polish with pale blue, purple, and pink shimmer. I’ll be honest, the formula was a bit difficult (I used 3 thin coats for evenness) and I just hate when shimmer doesn’t show up in polish.

Confetti Cannon is a clear based glitter topper with white, turquoise, pink, purple in various hexes, circles, and squares. I am in LURVE (yes, LURVE) with this glitter topper. When it was sitting on my desk, I just kept staring at it because the sparkle kept catching my eye! I used 1 coat over Tissue Paper Flowers above.

I also wanted to try it out over another Pahlish, so I chose She Sells Sea Shells. This is 1 coat of SSSS. Oh my glob, isn’t it just pretty?! *le sigh* *le drool*

Though Tissue Paper Flowers was a rare miss for me from Pahlish, Confetti Cannon more than made up for it. This duo is not available through Pahlish.com anymore, but hopefully you’ll be able to find it through other channels if you’re interested.

If you have any hair braiding tips or tutorials you can share, please do so in the commentsā€¦I really would like to get better at braiding!

  1. No braiding tips from me. I never could do any cool styles with my hair when it was longer. Maybe that’s why I chopped it all off into a pixie!

Tissue Paper Flowers looked more like a baby pale pink polish on me but it isn’t a polish that I’d wear on its own much. It makes a great base to the tons of glitter toppers that I’ve got though! And it’s like heaven on my nails with the duo together!

    • Haha! Well, I’ve been growing out my hair for a few years, and I figured at this point in my life (36 years old!), I should know how to do my own hair. LOL!

I definitely agree that Tissue Paper Flowers will be great for a base with some of my glitter toppers!

  2. Bummer about tissue paper flowers formula because it looked beautiful! As for the braiding, I have been able to French braid my own hair for years but can’t for the life of me French braid anyone else’s hahaha

  3. I love Confetti Canon over She Sells Sea Shells! Good luck with the braiding, I learned how to do fishtails and am currently working on french braids too!

  4. I don’t have any braiding tips because my hair has been short for waaaay too long- trying to grow this mop out but I will let you know if I come across any. It’s a bummer about that formula because it is a super pretty and delicate shade. I do love those glitter shapes though and I would probably get lost in the shine too

  5. I hate to hear you had an issue with Tissue Paper Flowers, it’s so pretty! And I can’t do anything other than a basic braid to save my life. I’d love to be able to do the bang French braid thingy (whatever it’s called lol) but I can’t seem to grasp it. Good luck! šŸ™‚

  6. Oh man I’m so bad at braiding. Hahah. No tips from me, but you should do some fishtail nails to go along with your attemps! šŸ˜‰

I super love Confetti Cannon – it has square glitter in it and I never get enough of square glitter!
