Good morning all! Are you ready for a wonderful weekend ahead? I know I am…it’s supposed to be 75 and gorgeous (albeit really windy) and I’m just ready to wear shorts! (Oops, better shave my legs, amirite ladies?) To get you ready, I have the really pretty nail polish collection from Wet N Wild to show you called the Silver Lake collection!
First up is a very sheer pale pink with slight shimmer: Stream of Consciousness. This is 3 coats with no top coat. Surprisingly, I really liked this one. It just made my nails look very pretty!
Next is A Latte Love, a grey-purple creme. Although it looks fairly grey in my photos, the slight purple tinge does come through in real life. This is 2 coats with no top coat.
Warm Filter is next, and yes, I lurve it! This is a great orange-pink, and not as bright as it really is in my photo. I think this kind of color is going to be my favorite this spring and summer. Shown here is 3 coats, for evenness.
Next up is Tree Hugger, a warm (not cool toned like my photo shows) minty green. Just give me colors like this and Warm Filter for all summer long and I’ll be a happy camper! This is 3 coats, no top coat.
Wear Skinny Jeans is a lovely periwinkle leaning slightly purple nail polish with invisible shimmer (well, you can see it in the bottle, but if you can’t see it on the nail, it’s invisible). My camera hates colors like this, so this is more blue than it actually is. Shown here is 2 coats, no top coat (though in retrospect, it could have used it).
Last is Reject the Mainstream, a warm lavender. Not much to say about this one, but it is a nice color! This is 2 coats, no top coat.
This is a great cohesive collection and I wanted to try a new-to-me technique of dry water marbling. I used Warm Filter, Tree Hugger, Wear Skinny Jeans, and Reject the Mainstream. I received a few tips from fellow bloggers to try it out!
Well, I had a bit of trouble getting it to lay down correctly, but it didn’t come out half bad, did it? Hopefully if I keep practicing, I’ll get better at it.
Which of these polishes is your favorite? If you can find this in stores (I found mine at Kmart), then my picks are Stream of Consciousness, Warm Filter, and Tree Hugger.
I hope you have a great weekend, and I’ll see you on Monday!
