Good afternoon! I hope you are having a great day so far. I have a review and eye of the day (EOTD) with Japonesque Velvet Touch Eyeshadow in shade 03.
First off, I have to say how much I love the packaging. Look how pretty this is!
It’s nice how big this compact is, no wasted spaced here! I experienced no fallout with this shade, it was just very silky smooth to apply.
A quick swatch on the back of my hand, it’s a little shimmery and it’s like my skin tone but better. LOL!
I’ve used it on my brow bone and inner corner, with tarte Make a Mauve (Rainforest After Dark palette) on my lid blended out.
I also used Laura Geller GlamLASH mascara, and Laura Geller luscious lips liquid lipstick in Cherry Almond. (Holy smokes, please ignore the redness on my chest!)
I found the quality to be very good, but of course, you’re paying $18 for one eyeshadow, for .05 oz of product. Is this something I would spend the money on? I probably would not as I prefer to splurge on palettes (when I get the chance to splurge). You can find this currently on Amazon.
I’d love to know what your thoughts are on this eyeshadow. Have you ever spent almost $20 for one eyeshadow? Sound off in the comments below!
I was provided this product through the Amazon Vine Program, for my honest review. I am not required to blog about a product received through the Vine Program, but on occasion I may do so. My opinions are still my own, and I will still give my 100% honest opinion of a product.
Very subtle, but great shade for you and for redheads in general. I’d love it. I wish Ulta sold Japonesque in its stores near me. I hate to buy makeup without seeing it in person, but I’m in love with Japonesque’s packaging!!
Oh I know! That’s why it’s so hard for me to buy makeup without seeing it in person!
Such a pretty everyday eyeshadow color that is. Your whole look is spot on perfect!
Thank you, Lisa! 🙂
That packaging looks amazing! And this is such a pretty, subtle shade – it could even double as a highlighting blush in a pinch.
Oh it totally could! Great point, Renu!
Lovely everyday shadow color!
Thank you!
This eyeshadow is very pretty! I don’t mind spending $20 on a single eyeshadow if it’s going to be a color that I will use on a regular basis.
Pretty color. I’d like to try out the brand. I’ve just got their cream foundation and that impressed me.
That’s such a pretty and versatile eyeshadow! Off topic but that mascara is perfect on you! I also prefer to splurge on palettes more than singles too but every once in awhile NARS comes out with the most stunning duos that completely break my resolve!
Ιt is an excellent colour, love this!!
kisses
Mary
Great neutral e/s. I love your lashes lady!
Lovely subtle shade!
Btw, your hair is all kinds of amazing. : )
I haven’t heard of the brand before, but I love subtle shades like this. You’re so gorgeous, btw 😀
This is a very pretty look!
The shade looks amazing with your eyes! I haven’t tried any of the Japonesque makeup, but I have a curler that I love.
I am so in love with your lashes… this shade looks fabulous on your. I haven’t used Japonesque in years it seems…
What a beautiful and subtle shade! Your lashes are truly AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
Girl, I am totes jealous of your lashes! You are all sorts of GORGEOUS!! I love this shade on you, it’s perfectly subtle while still being noticeable! I love this look all together!!
Beautiful! I love their products. The tops on all their products are created by hand in Italy (no two are alike) using oil paint (I think that’s what it is). And their foundation bottles and primers bottles are hand blown glass from Italy! We’ve got them at my Ulta and I love their concealers!
