e.l.f. Jasmine Nail Polish swatches + review

Purchased by Me buttonIt’s Friday, yahoooooo! Seriously, I was able to get to sleep at a decent time last night, and I woke up actually feeling refreshed instead of draggy and blergh. Will wonders never cease?

Today I have the e.l.f. Jasmine nail polish set that I found locally at one of my Walgreens for $9.95 (or was it $7.95?). (I also picked up two different eyeshadow sets that I’ll show you later.) This is a nice basic set with 2 creme nail polishes, 1 jelly nail polish, 1 shimmer nail polish, and 1 glitter.

e.l.f. nude | Be Happy And Buy Polish

e.l.f. nude is up first, and yup, it’s a nude creme nail polish. Not much to say about this! This is 2 coats, no top coat.

e.l.f. gina girl over nude | Be Happy And Buy Polish

e.l.f. gina girl is the glitter polish for this set, and I’m showing it over each polish. At first, it was really easy to just dab on. But as I kept using it, it kept getting thicker and harder to use. :/

e.l.f. smokin hot | Be Happy And Buy Polish

e.l.f. smokin hot is next, and it is a really nice lovely red jelly polish. This is probably my favorite of the group, though the formula was a bit thin. This is 2 coats, no top coat.

e.l.f. mint cream | Be Happy And Buy Polish

e.l.f. mint cream is really just that, a nice minty green creme nail polish. This is 2 coats, no top coat.

e.l.f. purple dream | Be Happy And Buy Polish

Last is e.l.f. purple dream, a purple shimmer nail polish, also a bit thin. This is 2 coats. The glitter basically disappeared over this polish, so you don’t get to see that! 😛

Well, as I said, this is a nice basic set: nothing ground-breaking here. Since the bottles are smaller and the brushes are short, this would be a good gift for an older child or tween.

When’s the last time you had a really refreshing night of sleep? I’m afraid it doesn’t happen often enough for me, hence why last night was such a treat. Have a great Friday, and I’ll see you later!

  1. The colors of this collection are so pretty. Perfect for spring and summer. I have yet to try out e.l.f nail polishes are they any good? I love all of there other stuff. I’m just a bit skeptical in buy a nail polish for under 3 bucks and it being any good.

    • I didn’t try these out for wear, I know in the past they’ve chipped quite easily on me. BUT that was quite a few years ago, and I know e.l.f. has changed since then. For $10, it’s still a pretty great set. 🙂

  2. The glitter looks great over the nude! I like Purple Dream too. I feel you on the sleep thing – I always seem to feel tired if I have to get up early (no matter how early I went to sleep). And as much as I love the summer, it’s around 100 degrees today and that doesn’t exactly make me feel energetic either!

  5. I always see elf polish on sale at big lots but I never pick them up cuz they’re just underwhelming 😦 and I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in years..

  6. The mint is very nice, but I agree with you – nothing too earth-shattering! Maybe the glitter would be better and less thick if you sponged it on? The purple in that glitter topper is so pretty – it’d be a shame for a less-than-stellar formula to ruin it!

  7. This seems like a pretty decent set! I already own the nude and I think I have a similar Elf polish to the mint, but I agree that this would make a nice gift for someone getting into polish. Also, I’m totally jealous of your good night’s sleep! My sleep schedule gets so messed up because of school, I always end up sleeping in like 2-4 hour increments throughout the day haha.
