Good wonderful January morning to you! The birds are (not) singing, but my house is quiet because the children are back in school…woohoo! Don’t get me wrong, I love my children, but we were all getting tired of each other at the end of last week, especially since the weather has been so cold and not conducive to outside play. Anyway, this morning I have Indigo Bananas 2% Butterscotch Ripple to show you.
*Programming Note* I had quite a few polishes I wasn’t able to show you in 2015, so I’ll be trying to get those posted over the next couple of weeks.
I’ll be honest, when I first started investigating indies, I heard so much about this polish, but I resisted the urge to purchase it for the longest time. Read on to find out what I think of it, now that I have it. Indigo Bananas 2% Butterscotch Ripple is described as “a dark plum base with predominantly gold to green colorshifting GLITTER (not shimmer or pigment) in it, along with a mix of other glitters that sparkle green, gold, or an assortment of rainbow colors.” You can see the shift just barely in the bottle shot above.
All in all, it’s not my favorite polish. It is a lovely polish, to be sure, and I like the color shifting glitters. Maybe it’s because it was so talked up in the nail polish community that I just feel let down? I’m not sure. But, I’d love to know what you think of it! Do you have this polish? Would this be something you’re interested in?
