New Year’s Eve Nail Art

Good morning all! I hope you are having a wonderful day so far. Do you do anything special for New Year’s Eve? We play it pretty low-key here; have snacks out all evening, watch tv, and wait until midnight.

For today’s manicure, I’ve started off with two coats of OPI Incognito in Sausalito. This is a new-to-me OPI and I’m kind of kicking myself on not picking it up before now!

I then used 1 coat + dabbing of OPI Come Out Of Your Shell, and 1 coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust on top:

Lastly, I used Wet N Wild 2% Milk and French White Creme for a water marble on top, followed by one more coat of Fairy Dust:

This didn’t turn out exactly how I wanted, but it’s still flashy and pretty.

Before I end this last post of 2014, I’d like to thank you all for visiting the blog this year. Yes, I blog for myself but I also blog because of you, my wonderful readers. My goals in 2015 are to grow in my nail art skills and also to show you even more indie brands. What would you like to see from me in 2015?

  1. Those flakies look amazing with the base color. Happy New Years! Usually we just hang out at home on New Years Eve. Tonight I’m cooking barbecue pork ribs in the crock pot, hopefully they turn out okay! 🙂

  2. Ohmigosh, what a beautiful NYE mani. I like each polish individually and together. I’m so embarrassed that I just painted my nails and left it at that.

  3. Adore the water milky marble on top – such a gorgeous combo with the sparkly background!

New Years Eve for me is basically chilling. And Oreo ice cream sandwiches right now. Which I’ve never HAD BEFORE! Oh lordy.

  4. I love this entire look! I’ve never thought to do a water marble over a glitter- I may have to try it out in 2015! Happy New Year!

  5. I like it. Very Frozen Fractals. I love your layering- you always have great ideas. Love to see more of that, more themed nail art and comparisons and roundups. thanks for a great year of fab posts
