Good Friday morning! How has your week gone? I’ll be honest, the past few days have been miserable – one of my kids has been sick (…and whiny) so I’m totally out of energy at this point. Ugh! haha! Let’s get to today’s nail polishes from NYC New York Color: the Midnight Beauty collection.
First there is NYC New York Color Animal Instinct. This is such a great orange (that leans a little pink) with a shimmer. Unfortunately though, that shimmer was near invisible on the nail. I also experienced some unevenness with this polish. This is 2 coats with NYC New York Color top coat:
Next up is I Am Not AffRED, a truly great vampy dark blood red color. This has a jelly-ish consistency, it isn’t a true creme. This is also 2 coats with NYC top coat:
Now we have Black Elixir, a jelly-ish black polish. I think this would be a perfect black polish to thin down a bit for an almost see-through black base to lace nails. This is 2 coats with NYC top coat:
Last is Rock Muse, a black-base jelly glitter polish. I actually don’t think it would work as a top coat, it’s just a tad too thick. So I’ve used it on its own, this is 3 coats with NYC top coat:
What are your thoughts on this collection? These are available for $1.99 and can be found at most major retailers.
Well, I’m off to get some rest before I start to get sick (that’s pretty much the last thing I need right now!). What are your go-to comforts when you or your loved ones are sick?
