Earlier today I showed you a few ways for your manicure to go from work-appropriate to WOW! This afternoon, I’ve gathered recommendations from the Beauty Blog Coalition members for their favorite work-appropriate nail polishes.
Christine from 15 Minute Beauty: I can wear anything as long as my nails aren’t longer than 2 mm beyond my fingertip and my nails are natural (artificial or longer and it harbors bacteria). I tend to do darker/vampy colors, I really love dark purples. OPI Lincoln Park After Dark is a long time fave.
Stephanie from A Little Polish: I like OPI My Vampire is Buff, Skull and Glossbones, My Very First Knockwurst, Did you Ear About Van Gogh?, Don’t Pretzel My Buttons, Alpine Snow, My Boyfriend Scales Walls. I also love the lighter shades from the Zoya Naturels Collections.
Stephanie from All Things Beautiful: All the Zoya naturels, mauves, & lighter hidden shimmer shades! I’m a sucker for Zoya for work appropriate!
Carleen from Beauty & Fashion Tech: Dior Nail Glow. It makes the nails shiny and gives just a hint of color for a super natural look. A bonus is that chips in it are not obvious, so those who type a lot for work can get more wear out of it.
Arielle from Beauty By Arielle: Essie Sand Tropez
Krystal from Beauty By Krystal: Barielle Cream n Sugar, it’s a streak-free sheer beige. I recommend it to everyone who asks for a non offensive color to wear to work or interviews.
Sarah from Chalkboard Nails: I don’t have any work restrictions, but my choices would probably be OPI My Vampire is Buff or OPI Don’t Pretzel My Buttons.
Destany from Confessions of a Sarcastic Mom: As for nudes, Milani Almond Bliss, OPI My Vampire Is Buff, Zoya Minka, Sally Hansen Pearl Up and Milani Lady Like Sheer are my Faves.
Honey from Honeygirl’s World: Zoya’s Shay or Rue are my go-to for days when I need a neutral polish. I also like to use soft french whites that are almost translucent but still offer a subtle white hue, it brightens my nails.
Deborah from Love. Varnish, chocolate and more: If I had to pick something neutral or conservative, I’d go with OPI Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around. The pink hue is still noticeable as a color, but it’s pale and neutral enough to both compliment almost everything you wear and not stand out too much. Extra bonus: it applies super dreamy!
Jamie from Makeup Life Love: Essie Sand Tropez, Essie Fiji or OPI Don’t Pretzel My buttons.
Kirby from The Mercurial Magpie: Zoya Rue is my go-to!
Renu from My Beauty Junction: My favourite neutrals are Ciate Ivory Queen, Lancome Vernis in Love 220M, OPI San Tan-Tonio and Don’t Pretzel My Buttons and Zoya Avril.
Amber from NailsLikeLace: I’ve been in love with OPI Don’t Pretzel My Buttons and Zoya Avery.
Jessika from Polish Insomniac: I don’t have any restrictions but if I did I would reach for OPI Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around, Taupe-less Beach, I Sao Paulo Over There, Planks A Lot, My Pointe Exactly. From Essie – Bangle Jangle, Playa del Platinum, Miss Fancy Pants, Merino Cool, Chinchilly, Body Language, and Island Hopping. butter LONDON Muggins, Salma Hayek Evening Haze, Barielle Lilac Jelly Bean, Nicole by OPI Am I Making Myself Claire.
Phyrra from Phyrra.net: butter LONDON All Hail the Queen is what I like for interviews or restrictive situations. KBShimmer In Bare Form would be good too.
Jennifer from Raging Rouge: Opi Dulce De Leche us a long-time favorite neutral of mine.
Now I’d love to know what your favorite neutral or work-appropriate nail polish is! Did it get listed here? The BBC members would love to know!
